Job Description:

Duties: As a member of the Personal and Workplace Investing Desktop

Platform technology team responsible for the development and maintenance of

desktop technology solutions supporting Fidelity's Personal and Workplace

Investments business. Will develop and maintain Fidelity's Personal

Investing Desktop platform and participate in all phases of a project

lifecycle

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical design, development, unit testing, and

partnering with QA during the testing phases.

• Translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business

solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

• Lead and conduct studies of alternatives, analyze and recommend

changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and

strategies to development subject matter experts and management.

• Determine and develop approaches to solutions and follow

established policies and procedures.

• Define and implement application level architecture and participate

in architecture design teams.

• Develop original and creative technical solutions to on-going

development efforts.

• Identify and consult with internal technical resources to produce

strategic designs.

• Design applications on complex major projects and subsystems.

• Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis

for multiple projects supporting several organizational initiatives.

• Develop applications on complex major projects, components and

subsystems for the organization.

• Consult on development and delivery of a major component or entire

project deliverable.

• Support user acceptance and unit level testing.

• Perform unit and integration testing.

• Develop clear and concise documentation.

• Provide application support, problem diagnosis and resolution.

• May serve as on-call resource to support the organization’s service

and escalation model.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,

Mathematics or Physics (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as

well as 5 years of experience in job offered or 5 years of experience

developing financial customer service user interfaces within a .Net

environment. Experience must include: Demonstrated Expertise ("DE")

developing WPF/Silverlight applications using composite frameworks --

MEF/PRISM -- and applying design patterns (MVVM and MVC.); DE in C#

developing service layer to consume webservices and developing COM

components to integrate with external systems (SIEBEL CRM.); DE developing

WCF and Windows services with data access layer interacting with multiple

data sources for SQL Server, Oracle and SYBASE.
