Job Description:
Duties: Will serve as a member of the Fidelity Pricing & Cash
Management Services (FPCMS) technical database team. FPCMS provides
accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds
and other retail and institutional investment products, including
calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide
variety of investment products. Primary Responsibilities • Maintain the availability of Oracle on various platforms AIX,
Linux Version 11g, 10g and 9i databases in a production and
non-production environments • Install and configure Oracle Real Application Custer (RAC)
and upgrade database from Oracle 10g to 11g to Exadata and also one
platform to another (Unix to Linux) • Maintain, patch & support Oracle Exadata environments • Tune SQL queries, DB Instance, SPM, Indexes, Partitioning, Archiving etc. • Perform Delphix Administration • Maintain Oracle ASM and Dataguard environments • Perform RMAN backup, check daily backup status using
ControlM • Maintain and support Golden Gate replication services • Support Sybase and SQL Server databases • Monitor database using OEM 11g/12C and perform performance
tuning ASH, AWR • Refresh full environment/schema’s from production database
as required by application users • Work with Technical architects to ensure data model meets
the platform’s requirements in lieu of business and technical
needs • Define business object/database table mappings and structures,
fail- over strategies and distributed data strategies • Ensure compliance in related tasks with company and
regulatory policies and procedures • Provide on call production support (8:30 AM to 8:30 PM EST)
for various database roles on a rotational basis • Participate in regularly scheduled Disaster Recovery tests Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Engineering, Mathematics or Physics (willing to accept foreign education
equivalent) as well as 3 years of experience in job offered or 3 years of
experience in Oracle database administration, database architecture,
performance tuning including production support. Experience must include:
Demonstrated Expertise (DE) in database administration of applications using
Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, backup using RMAN,
replication methods (including Materialized Views, Golden Gate and
Informatica) and Perl/Unix shell scripting; DE in database troubleshooting,
performance tuning using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) grid functionality
and SQL plan management, SQL & PL SQL query optimization, and monitoring
within a production support environment; DE in Sybase to Oracle Data
migration and Oracle Exadata migration, including performance tuning using
Smartscans and Cell offloads; DE in Oracle database architecture in
designing physical/logical datamodel, Indexes, Partitioning, Archiving,
