Job Description:

Designs and develops 12 factor compliant Cloud ready software applications, using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and relational database (Oracle) according to Agile methodologies. Develops cloud ready next generation pricing platform and deploys into Amazon Web Services (AWS) or internal Cloud. Develops feature enhancements to legacy pricing applications in C++, PL/SQL, Perl, and Shell. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing 12 factor compliant, Cloud ready Java, Spring, and relational database applications in a financial or analytical services industry.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience developing 12 factor compliant, Cloud ready Java, Spring, and relational database applications in a financial or analytical services industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) building Web applications, using Java EE, Tomcat, Spring framework, and JSON-RPC messaging interface using complex, multi-threaded, and real time algorithms.

DE in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) -- analyzing, designing, implementing, and performing version control, automation, disaster recovery, and post-installation validation using Jenkins -- according to Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

DE developing REST Web services to support OAuth based authentication (per security standards), and integrating with UI clients using Angular JS; and automating the testing of Web services and UIs, using Fitnesses and Selenium frameworks.

DE analyzing business requirements for developing Web based online applications, using Java/J2EE and REST; and performing GUI design, using Angular JS, HTML5, CSS, JQuery, Javascript, and Maven.
