Job Description:
Duties: Serve as Business Intelligence Developer for Fidelity
Investment Management Technology (FIMT). Interact with our business
partners, internal technology groups and vendors to create new tools and
reports that will enhance our investment process and manage the technology
development according to the product roadmap. Perform business analyst tasks
involved with the development and support of an online reporting
application, specifically OBIEE. Perform design and development of Business
Intelligence solutions including Repositories (rpd), BI Analysis, Dashboards,
BI Publisher reports, SQL Scripts, Big Data solutions, Hadoop,
Cloudera; and using the OBIEE development suite to build enterprise-wide
Business Intelligence Solutions in the development and support of the
strategic framework for financial reporting, analytics and business
intelligence. This includes selecting proper reporting tools, gathering
requirements, designing, and rolling out analytics and reporting solutions to
key end clients. Primary Responsibilities: • Translate business requirements into reporting solutions for
the Asset Management business. • Perform design, development and support of the technical
delivery solutions, as well as development and delivery of system
documentation and user documentation. • Work with the business users to analyze needs and define
the requirements, including report definition, drafting
technical specifications and conversion and data cleansing rules, design
changes to reports, develop user system documentation and provide
appropriate user training. • Define and implement application level architecture. • Drive the analysis, design, and development of new
dimensional models and enhancements to current models. • Create technical design specifications, develop analytical
reports, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, debug, tune and
optimize report performance. • Develop repositories, reports, dashboards, and support the FIMT/AMIS Intelligence platforms and applications. • Develop metadata (RPD), dimensional data models and
reporting objects in OBI suite. • Perform initial problem investigation to determine scope and
depth of problem and recommend solutions by following established
guidelines. • Support clients during implementation and use of the
online reporting application. • Responsible for data integrity as well as the quality of
data within OBIEE presentation layer. • Support system and user acceptance testing activities,
including issue resolution. • Create business requirements and update business
documentation. • Contribute to team discussions by presenting ideas and
knowledge sharing knowledge. • Collaborate on problem resolution, team decisions and
project planning. • Coordinate application installs and change management for
reporting applications. • Conduct application development sessions and train end users,
as needed. • Provide application support for business intelligence
solutions. • Provide technical leadership to team members on large,
complex business intelligence projects. • Advise senior management on technical strategy. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and five (5) years of experience in the
job offered or five (5) years of experience performing Oracle business
analytics and Business Intelligence reporting and application development;
or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and three (3) years of experience in the
job offered or three (3) years of experience performing Oracle business
analytics and Business Intelligence reporting and application development.
Also Requires: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing Hadoop based
analytics solutions including development of Python scripts for loading
data, creation of Impala views for unstructured data, performance
optimization, data mining and visualization; DE in data modeling using
dimensional data modeling, Star Schema modeling, Fact and Dimensions tables and
Physical and Logical data modeling in the OBI Administration tool, including
serving as technical lead of multiple deployments, implementations and
support; DE in Oracle Business Intelligence product (OBIEE)
installation/configuration, security implementation, generating reports/dashboards, and
using advanced SQL analytics features in Oracle to build complex Publisher and
Analytics reports; and Oracle tuning for batch and application
