Job Description:

Crafts secure, scalable, resilient Cloud-based services. Implements REST API development, using Java, Spring Boot, and NodeJS. Designs and develops event driven applications using Kafka. Monitors data and generate reports, alerts, and visualizations, using Splunk, Datadog, and Kibana. Publishes API Gateways with APIGEE and WSO2 to develop Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing software application development on public Cloud -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) -- using Java and Node.js.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience performing software application development on public Cloud -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) -- using Java and Node.js.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing customer facing enterprise applications using server-side technologies -- Java, PL/SQL, Spring Framework, REST APIs, Event-Driven Notifications via MQ, and KAFKA.

DE developing and integrating container applications, using Docker and Kubernetes; and performing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), using Jenkins, RLM, and Udeploy.

DE designing Cloud applications according to business requirements, architecture standards, and Agile methodologies; and participating in Agile/Scrum events -- sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

DE developing high throughput components, using Kafka, Camel, and Event Driven Architecture; and identifying and providing solutions for performance bottle necks, using Datadog, Splunk dashboards and metrics, and Dynatrace.
