Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a technical lead of the DC Data Conversion
team, which is involved in the transformation and loading of participant data
for DC (Defined Contribution 401(K)) plans as a result of corporate
actions, mergers or new business. Will be involved in data conversion for
OLB (Online Beneficiary), data validation for TCBS (Total
Compensation and Benefit Summary), enhancement projects, CDC (Client Data
Control) support requests and ad-hoc reporting requests. Will work with teams in
providing technical guidance for onshore Implementation Conversion
Services and Data Conversion Implementation Systems. Primary Responsibilities: • Serve as a technical lead of the DC Data Conversion team. • Develop original and creative technical solutions to on-going
data conversion efforts, participate in the implementation of
conversion level architecture and comply with data conversion and implementation
standards. • Perform technical and functional analysis for multiple
projects supporting several data conversions. • Design and develop conversion routines or subsystems to
support increasing data conversion program complexity. • Coordinate technical project deliverables and any
escalations. • Perform functional analysis for small to moderate
projects. • Execute data conversions. • Perform code and unit testing for moderate to complex-scope
data conversion routines and responsible for post-installation
testing correction of any conversion problems. • Assist in the planning and conducting of client/user review
of conversion results (reports and implementation of
corrections). • Support testing activities of junior team members to ensure
data conversation. • Develop comprehensive documentation for all data
conversions. • Perform defect prevention activities. • Report on project deliverables to senior management. • Provide guidance and mentor junior associates, and conduct trainings for new team members. • Serve as coordinator for offshore DC Data Conversion team. • Serve as Subject Matter Expert in Defined Contributions
Data Conversions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and five (5) years of experience in the
job offered or five (5) years of experience designing SAS on the mainframe
for data conversion within a Defined Contribution and qualified and
unqualified retirements products platform; or, alternatively, a Master’s
degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and
three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience designing SAS on the mainframe for data conversion within a Defined
Contribution and qualified and unqualified retirements products platform. Also
Requires: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing Base SAS
programs for data conversion to extract and convert data from external
financial data feeds into flat file formats within a DB2 environment; DE
executing SAS programs using JCL within an IBM mainframe environment
including writing DB2 queries and utilizing FileAid and TSO functions for
mainframe file views and browsing; DE writing Excel formulas and Macros to
automate Defined Contribution and retirement products data conversion and
reporting within an IBM mainframe environment; DE coordinating mainframe
development and data conversion project deliverables within an
