Job Description:

Duties: Serve as a member of the Fidelity Pricing and Cash Management

Services (FPCMS) Technology Group responsible for delivering top quality

scalable systems solutions for the Asset Management business functions

within Fidelity Investments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis and document the current business processes, work

with source systems to understand new data sets and evaluate the impact of

upstream system changes, new fund structures, and/or security types.

• Work with clients to collect and document future state

requirements, determine internal requirements for data controls and

exception reporting; perform complex data analysis and present findings to

support recommendations.

• Perform data analysis, build models from data sets to classify and

predict actionable insights to develop new forms of ROI based metrics and

efficiency of systems across the business.

• Provide diverse analytical skills across business domain of Asian

and European Markets for international products, including OTC, US Equity,

Options, Futures, and Options on Futures, FX, and Basket Swaps and Swaps.

• Link and mash up distinctive data sets to discover new insights,

which may require connecting different types of data sets in different

forms as well as work with potentially incomplete data sources and perform

data cleansing.

• Partner with the data governance team to build out operational

processes, develop training materials and implementation plans, transition

new sources or customers into production environment, and create

presentations.

• Collaborate with Front office and Middle office to optimize and

streamline the business life cycle and workflow.

• Propose design options and evaluate options for feasibility and

cost benefits; identify, escalate and resolve issues and mitigate risks;

and create business and functional project documentation.

• Review and contribute to technical specifications to ensure that

they meet business requirements.

• Assist in planning and coordinating activities with project

stakeholders, including test planning, execution, and business and data

analysis project interdependencies and handoffs.

• Guide and mentor team members, data stewards, and colleague on the

use and importance of reference data and data governance.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Business Administration, Mathematics or Physics and three (3) years of

experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing

data mining and data analysis within a financial and product services

securities environment; or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign

education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or

Physics and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year

of experience performing data mining and data analysis within a financial

and product services securities environment. Also Requires: Demonstrated

expertise (“DE”) performing data mining and systems gap analysis and impact

analysis for data modeling and entity relationships using PowerDesigner; DE

performing data cleansing and data transformations into common structures

to perform predictive analysis, regression, graphing and KPI reporting; DE

migrating legacy data into new code base, including writing systems and

requirements documentation of current versus future state using UML or

Visio; DE documenting requirements frameworks for test plans, cases and

traceability using Quality Center or Rational Rose.
