Job Description:
Duties: Work as primary test engineer and as a test lead for
Fidelity’s Workplace Investing Quality Assurance (“QA”) organization on a
variety of tactical development and maintenance projects. The role will
have significant interaction across the Requirements and Business
Analysis, Development, Solution Architecture, Automation, Infrastructure
and Production Support teams throughout the project lifecycle and
involves teams based in multiple geographical locations and time
zones. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform requirements analysis and develop test strategy and
Test Plan by transforming complex business requirements into
comprehensible Test Plans. • Provide testing estimates for mainframe and web based
development. • Perform functional and regression testing utilizing SAHI and
HP QTP automation tools. • Perform system testing and defect management utilizing HP
Quality Center. • Design and execute test cases in Quality Center. • Communicate project status with project manager and QA
manager using QC reporting and other tools. • Develop, prioritize and maintain automation plan and
roadmap. • Implement Quality Center standards and best practices on
project by project basis. • Provide final QA sign-off of a release and generate sign
off report. • Provide training and collaborate with offshore testing teams
to coordinate testing activities. • Measure and communicate quality risk with the project
stakeholders. • Work in conjunction with all functional groups to identify potential future improvements to the overall process,
requirements gathering and documentation or test templates. • Own quality for a product implementation cutting across
technology and business teams. • Assist in defining and driving Test Data Management processes
and Data Strategy. • Ensure adherence to QA Best Practices through all phases of
the project life cycle. • Ensure the execution of all QA deliverables throughout the lifecycle. • Drive integration test planning and activities with
multiple upstream and downstream consumers. • Collaborate with development and business partners. • Provide accurate and timely status/metric reporting to QA
Manager and project stakeholders. • Provide technical and process guidance to other team
members. • Understand the project architecture and System
dependencies. • Coordinate with project teams to finalize Regression test
plan. • Coordinate with Solution Delivery and Business teams to
complete Business Acceptance testing. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and four (4) years of experience in the
job offered or four (4) years of experience in Quality Assurance testing of
a Defined Contribution product and 401(K) related application portal;
or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and two (2) years of experience in the
job offered or two (2) years of experience in Quality Assurance testing of a
Defined Contribution product and 401(K) related application portal.
Also Requires: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in test planning and
test execution of large complex online Defined Contributions
Mainframe-based processing applications using CICS, VSAM, JCL, Platinum, and
File aid, and designing SQL queries using Advanced Query Tool (AQT) for data
extraction and manipulation to present test conditions; DE testing
Defined Contributions record keeping applications functions and
features, including application integration points (e.g., 401 related record keeping
and reporting applications), and end-to-end functional,
non-functional User Acceptance and Regression testing within a Waterfall
environment; DE estimating test project resources and tracking budgets using
PPMC, and, coordinating, coaching, and providing quality control for cross
functional projects and an onshore-offshore team of test analysts; DE in
business and systems requirements analysis at the component and integration
level, and translation of functional requirements for end-to-end testing
including using Quality Center to record requirements, defects, and test
