Position Description:

Builds scalable and high throughput applications, using Java and Python. Builds and deploys Cloud enabled applications using 12 factor designs. Builds, automates, and implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, using GIT, Maven, Jenkins, and uDeploy. Builds Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in an Agile environment. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience implementing, deploying, and automating On-prem, Cloud native, or microservices applications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience implementing, deploying, and automating On-prem, Cloud native, or microservices applications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing, developing, and building microservices applications using Java, Jenkins, GIT, Apache Maven; and deploying and testing microservices applications using Artifactory, POSTMAN, Junit, and Oracle SQL.

DE designing and developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in Jenkins using Git, Python, Shell scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, and Maven; and deploying Cloud compliant applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure.

DE creating, developing, and modifying REST and Spring Boot applications -- studying requirements from consumers, conferring with users, and investigating problems areas, work processes, and architectural flows -- according to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

DE determining operational feasibility-- evaluating the analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and demonstrated solutions -- by developing documentation, flow charts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code using Draw IO, Confluence, and JIRA.
