Job Description:
Duties: Work closely with offshore End User Computing Quality
Assurance (“QA”) team and engage in project fusion sessions, planning,
allocating, and reporting of QA activities. Will meet with stakeholders to
gather requirements and forecast book of work, and interact with ITSM
for change and release related discussions. Primary Responsibilities: • Analyze and ensure organizational standards are met for
eCompliance applications. • Analyze and gather requirements, and perform feasibility
analysis, estimation, framework design and implementation. • Perform test case and test script review activities and
attend specification review discussions. • Set up and guide the QA team on test automation
activities. • Evaluate tools for test automation and implement best
practices. • Implement new testing procedures for alignment with market
trends. • Perform project and resource planning. • Attend partner engagements to understand and obtain
requirements, and scope setting. • Interact with vendors for organizational solutions. • Work closely with engineering and project Leads in the U.S.
and India. • Participate in Change and Problem Management discussions as
QA representative. • Initiate stability initiatives and automation initiatives
for quality improvements and cost cutting. • Actively participate in onsite activities, including
participation in eCompliance product meetings and engagement with partners and
vendors for better quality products. • Provide oversight for both manual and automation testing
performed by QA team. • Develop an integrated approach to planning and problem
solving. • Handle relevant technical communications with onsite manager
and offshore team, resolve issues raised by offshore team, and
ensure offshore team is in-sync with the U.S. team. • Ensure proper functioning of QA activities, including
resolving test lab related issues and engage in knowledge transfer for new
products and technologies. • Mentor members in the team providing technical guidance
and training. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and three (3) years of experience in the
job offered or three (3) years of experience in test automation strategy
development, social media testing and mobile application testing; or,
alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics or Physics and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one
(1) year of experience in test automation strategy development, social
media testing and mobile application testing. Also Requires: Demonstrated
Expertise (“DE”) in Test Automation including feasibility analysis,
estimation, framework design and implementation using Quick Test
Professional (UFT) and Selenium tools -- VBScript, Java, REST API, and Quick Test
Professional tool -- for eCompliance applications; DE in quality assurance
project management including evaluating tools and processes for test
automation and manual testing, and implementation of QA/Business Process best
practices using Agile, SAFe, SCRUM and Waterfall methodologies; DE in
Quality Center (QC11) implementation and in generating QA Dashboard; and
Jira implementation (including Folio and Portfolio plugins) for
mixed methodologies and custom report/metrics generation; DE devising
Symantec Enterprise Vault and Discovery Accelerator for eCompliance
