Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a member of the Global Network Services –
Application Delivery Services (ADS) group within Enterprise Infrastructure
(EI) Operations, which designs and maintains Fidelity’s Internet and
Intranet DNS, Network Directory and Load Balancing infrastructures. As
part of its engineering function, ADS adapts and refines strategies from
Enterprise Architecture, Voice and Data Engineering and Information
Security and Risk Management and transitions Operational Support to FISC
Operations Support Services. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform application delivery engineering through use of
load balancers, DNS/DHCP servers, various proxy gateway and other
network security devices to provide application availability,
acceleration, and security solutions. • Provide engineering application delivery solutions for
internal Fidelity business units including consulting with customers on
best practices and options; and design, standardize and implement
load balancing, DNS/DHCP, and proxy solutions. • Serve as escalation point for troubleshooting issues related
to the network or security environment (on-call rotation) to ensure
stability within the enterprise. • Document complex technologies and topologies based
application networking best practices. • Perform life cycle management for various technologies within
the space to ensure operational stability is maintained. • Provide technical guidance for engineers in the design of Fidelity’s highly complex application delivery network. • Perform NS / DHCP design and engineering; technology
management for Domain Name process, and IP Address process; QIP tools analysis
and recommendation; Alcatel Lucent Appliance management; 3rd level
operational support; and Application Traffic technology project
management. • Deploy DNS/DHCP related network changes. • Perform administration and management of Lucent QIP
Workflow Manager console; and enterprise wide IP administration (Fidelity
US and Fidelity India). • Perform 3rd level engineering problem escalation. • Provide recommendation of new products and technologies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent as well as three-year foreign bachelor’s degree) in
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information
Technology, Computer Applications, Mathematics or Physics and three (3) years of
experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in DNS and DHCP
design and engineering within a global, multi-data center environment;
or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information
Technology, Computer Applications, Mathematics or Physics and one (1) year
of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in
DNS and DHCP design and engineering within a global, multi-data center
environment. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in
design and management of IPAM solutions within a global, multi-data
center environment; DE researching and managing domain branding and
trademark administration using CSC and Melbourne IT portals, including
domain registration, domain ownership transfer, DNS hosting services,
and secondary DNS solutions; DE architecting and managing
multicenter DNS and DCHP environments using Lucent QIP workflow manager for
administration and enrollment; DE in Level 3 DNS and DHCP operational management
