Job Description:

Duties: Serve as a member of the OSG Integrated Customer System (ICS)

Technology team. OSG Technology Support provides superior development and

maintenance support to the overall Fidelity Investments organization, in

vital core subsystems that provide regulatory books and records information

as well as trusted customer information, distributed throughout the

organization. Our organization supports every business line maintained

within the overall FI organization, with a particular focus on supporting

operational functions. Will be responsible for setting up design,

development and implementation of applications/framework in the SOA

domain.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions on a platform

dedicated to handle a large volume of data and transactions.

• Migrate and enhance existing Brokerage customer and account system

from mainframe to open system.

• Perform system analysis, and design, development, testing, and

implementation of medium to large size enhancements using Java, SOAP web

services, JCL, COBOL/DB2, CICS and Extream solutions.

• Analyze and research current implementations of the platform and

determine course of action required to elevate the platform to meet

customer needs.

• Work with ICS onshore and offshore team members and business

partners to understand business requirements and propose flexible technical

solutions.

• Provide leadership for junior engineers and work with them to

leverage and enhance their current skills.

• Work with system architects for infrastructure upgrades and tune

the environment for optimal performance and uptime.

• Collaborate with peers on process improvement, policy and procedure

enhancements, and opportunities to improve customer's service experience.

• Focus on developing applications that meet user specifications and

expectations.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information

Technology and Management, Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and

three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of

experience in design, development and implementation of SOA Java Web

Services and mainframe systems; or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or

foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Technology and Management, Information Systems,

Mathematics or Physics and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or

one (1) year of experience in design, development and implementation of SOA

Java Web Services and mainframe systems. Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing COBOL CICS programs which

interface with xml parser, routing tools and web consumer layer for

Customer Account Management (“CAM”) systems within an investment brokerage

platform; DE in web service and mainframe performance tuning, including

migrating business logic from mainframe to Java web services using RTC for

version control and Endeavor for mainframe modules; DE developing COBOL-

DB2/NATIVE DB2 stored procedures and developing Java batch processes for

using compute grid; DE developing SOAP Java web services according to

object oriented design patterns and SOA concepts, and RESTful web services

for internal and external customer support.
