Job Description:
Duties: Responsible for translating the vision for divisional
initiatives into business solutions as Lead Analyst for the Shared Data
Services Strategic Program within the FPCMS – Core Data and Technology
Services (CDTS) Group for the data acquisition and data distribution
processes. Primary Responsibilities: • Lead and perform the analysis of EOL/EOS (End of
Life/System) systems to implement point-to-point reduction goals and source
from the ODS (Operational Data Source). • Lead and perform data analysis to discover trends and
patterns based on the security pricing and fixed income data. • Identify reusable components for potential application for interrelated data solutions across business areas. • Work with architects and business leaders to acquire a
solid understanding of the domain, current state of technology and the
strategic direction guiding future efforts. • Participate in the definition of both functional and
non-functional requirements of a system and define the delivery strategy,
standards and support tools. • Analyze and interpret the investment securities, pricing and
trade data to provide effective problem solutions and assist with
decision making. • Maintain the data integrity during extraction,
manipulation, processing, analysis and storage. • Perform data mapping with the details on the source system,
target system and business translations needed at the element
level. • Establish data lineage across subject areas using
Informatica Metadata Manager. • Work with analysts to create profiles and rules for data
quality using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ). • Analyze different source systems to understand the golden
source and data acquisition planning. • Guide and mentor team members, data stewards and colleagues on
the use and importance of reference data and data governance. • Evaluate impact of new fund structures or security types on
new business data developments • Partner with Data Governance team to build out operational processes. • Propose design options; evaluate for feasibility and
cost/benefit. • Determine development approaches and strategies and ensure conformance to established Fidelity standards. • Tactical responsibility for completion and implementation
of multiple major development initiatives. • Advise on risk assessment and strategies. • Responsible for meeting on-time and on-budget project goals
and continually improve quality of team deliverables. • Provide guidance and training to enable other team members
to meet/exceed expectations, and plan and coordinate project
schedules. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and five (5) years of experience in the
job offered or five (5) years of experience in business and data analysis
within an Oracle environment; or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or
foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and
three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience in business and data analysis within an Oracle environment.
Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) for the entire data
life cycle: data analysis, data mapping, data acquisition using SQL
code, performing impact analysis, and data transformation and
distribution using Informatica, Data Stage, or Ab Initio; DE in gathering
business requirements from stakeholders and translating into system
requirements and technical specifications using pseudo code; DE developing use
case modeling and performing data modeling using Erwin or PowerDesigner; and
writing SQL queries using SQL Developer for data validation and testing data
load automation process using the Control-M scheduler; DE performing
predictive modeling of investment security pricing using predictive
