Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a member of the PI Architecture Team to work
with advanced and cutting-edge technologies and tools to build cloud-first
applications. Will translate the vision for divisional initiatives into
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications. Will conduct studies of alternatives, and analyze and recommend
changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and
strategies. Primary Responsibilities: • Define and implement application level architecture. • Participate in architecture design teams, and review and
advise on technical designs. • Develop applications for complex major projects, components
and subsystems for the division. • Provide guidance and training to enable other team members
to meet/exceed expectations. • Plan and coordinate project schedules and make assignments
for multiple projects. • Develop, modify, integrate, and maintain software
solutions. • Design, decode, test, debug and document programs. • Engage in the entire software development lifecycle
including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem
resolution and planning. • Advise senior management on technical strategy. • Research and recommend new technologies. • Evaluate innovative alternatives and re-use opportunities. • Perform technical implementation of architectural
components. • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. • Communicate, both inside and outside the organization, on
complex topics. • Strive for excellence in performance by surpassing
established standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and four (4)
years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience
automating cloud based infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS); or,
alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and two (2) years of
experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience automating cloud
based infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS). Candidate must also
possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) utilizing a cloud computing
platform -- AWS, Azure, or IBM BlueMix -- using the IaaS or PaaS to build, run
and deploy multi-tier web applications, and developing automations on IaaS
or PaaS using IT automation tools -- Ansible, Chef or Puppet; DE
designing, developing and maintaining new and existing REST and SOAP
services using SOA or Microservices architecture principles using Agile
development methodologies; DE developing and maintaining web and mobile
applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript or Typescript, and MVC
frameworks (AngularJS, React.js or Ember.js) for client-side application
development, including back-end connectivity to SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or
MySQL) or No- SQL databases (MongoDB) using Agile development methodologies;
DE in software development lifecycle management, using IDEs -- Visual
Studio, Eclipse or Atom -- for complex application development; version
controls tools -- TFS, Git, Stash or SVN; build automations tools --
