Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a technology lead within the Fidelity Pricing
and Cash Management Services (FPCMS) Technology Group. The FPCMS
Technology Group is responsible for delivering top quality scalable systems
solutions for the Asset Management business functions within Fidelity Investments.
The FPCMS Technology Platform consists of mainframe and distributed
architecture including multiple interfaces both internal and external to the
FPCMS Organization. The systems employed include the source fund
accounting, pricing, tax and data exchange platforms. Working closely with
technology support functions, the role of this team is to ensure the data
and functionality is complete, accurate and available to users in a
timely manner. Primary Responsibilities: • Lead the analysis and documentation of current business
processes. • Work with source systems to understand and document new data
sets. • Evaluate impact of upstream system changes, new fund
structures or security types. • Work with customers to collect and document future state requirements. • Determine internal requirements for data controls and
exception reporting. • Perform complex data analysis and present findings to
support recommendations. • Propose design options; evaluate for feasibility and
cost/benefit. • Identify, escalate and resolve issues and mitigate risks. • Ensure appropriate level of business and functional
project documentation is created. • Review and contribute to technical specifications to ensure
they meet business requirements. • Plan and coordinate activities with project stakeholders,
including test planning and execution. • Manage business and data analysis, project interdependencies
and handoffs. • Manage communication with sources and customers; create
appropriate forums, manage agendas and facilitate meetings. • Partner with Data Governance team to build out operational processes. • Develop training materials and implementation plans. • Transition new sources or customers into production
environment. • Create management presentations. • Guide and mentor team members, data stewards, and colleagues
on the use and importance of reference data and data governance. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and five (5)
years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience in
business and systems analysis within an asset management environment;
or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
in business and systems analysis within an asset management environment.
Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) for the entire data
life cycle: data analysis, data lineage, data mapping, and data
acquisition using SQL code; performing impact analysis; and data
transformation and distribution of data feeds using Informatica data tools:
PowerCenter, Metadata Manager and Analyst; DE gathering business requirements
from stakeholders and translating into system requirements and
technical specifications using pseudo code and UML diagrams; DE developing
and implementing Meta Data and Data Quality strategy using Metadata
Manager and Analyst; DE performing predictive modeling of security pricing
data for Institutional and Retail Portfolios within an asset management
