Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a member of the Fidelity Pricing and Cash
Management Services (FPCMS) Technology Group. FPCMS Technology Group is
responsible for delivering top quality, scalable systems solutions for the
Asset Management business functions within Fidelity Investments. FPCMS
Technology Platform consists of mainframe and distributed architecture
including multiple interfaces both internal and external to FPCMS
Organization. Will be responsible for designing, modeling, developing and
implementing database solutions to support the Trade Processing IT Product
within FPCMS. Will design, develop and implement data access methods to
deliver FPCMS Trade Hub solutions. Primary Responsibilities • Create, maintain and implement data solutions for VLDB and
Multi- Terabyte databases. • Work with application groups to gather requirements, create
logical data models, design new database schema or re-use existing
structures, determine data movement strategy, and ensure data availability
and recoverability. • Design, develop and test the solution, and implement
software migration to the production environment. • Design and implement data models, data movement and data
access to ensure standards and performance criteria are followed. • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in an Agile
environment. • Adhere to and implement enterprise architecture concepts, principles and data access strategy with project
deliverables. • Provide support for production issues. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
designing, developing and implementing enterprise data solutions for VLDB
and Multi- Terabyte databases; or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or
foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a
closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one
(1) year of experience designing, developing and implementing enterprise
data solutions for VLDB and Multi-Terabyte databases. Candidate must also
possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and implementing Oracle
databases, including Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) implementations
and Oracle Exadata solutions within a mission critical application
environment; DE writing database stored procedures, functions, packages,
triggers, exception handlers, dynamic cursor programs, and Oracle PL/SQL
scripts within a distributed Agile environment; DE troubleshooting
real-time mission critical database applications using Oracle Enterprise
Manager version 12c; and providing performance tuning and
optimization recommendations based on Oracle AWR reports and system
diagnostics; and DE providing production support crisis coordination in triaging,
resolving and providing root cause analysis, and ensuring adherence to the
data blueprint and roadmap of enterprise data environment, including
