Job Description:
Duties: Execute analysis, document requirements and create
specifications, and make design recommendations. Collaborate with business and
technology partners to analyze system logic and operational processes and
procedures to develop recommendations that will solve end user problems and
shape new functionality. Primary Responsibilities: • Create and deliver systems requirements and design
specifications. • Prepare detailed requirements documentation and
specifications including use cases, context diagrams and business process
flows. • Work with cross-functional teams to develop business and
systems requirements, user interface design, data modeling, systems
designs and systems interface specifications. • Assist the technical team and quality assurance group with
the creation of test cases, and act as primary triage coordinator
for questions and defects. • Interview business partners to understand project objectives,
use cases and requirements. • Work with business partners and technology team to define, coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing. • Recommend changes to existing systems design to achieve requirements. • Follow documentation standards and best practices. • Maintain objectives, requirements, use cases and
specifications so they remain correct. • Support, administer and maintain metadata using Metacenter application. • Perform data mining and data analysis in DB2 and Oracle
databases. • Participate in project scoping, sizing and estimating. • Understand vision, goals and direction of
team/organization. • Coordinate and work with the offshore Common Data Services
team. • Identify and resolve technical issues. • May mentor junior team members. • Identify inefficiencies, conflicting business practices
and integration issues, and suggest alternative solutions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
in systems analysis and design of data movement and analytical reporting
applications; or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and one (1) year
of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in
systems analysis and design of data movement and analytical reporting
applications. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”)
producing System Delivery Specification (SDS), and assisting with Technical
System Design (TSD), and Transition (TRA) documents for data movement, data
warehouse and analytical reporting application projects, following Agile and
Waterfall methodologies; DE designing data mapping using Informatica Power
Center, and utilizing source code management and code integration tools
-- ClearCase, SourceTree, Stash, Jenkins, Nexus and ICEM -- for
project implementations, including development, implementation,
acceptance and migration to production environments; DE designing requirements
for Oracle Business Intelligence reporting and data warehousing, and in
large scale database implementations -- including presentation and
documentation in Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and facilitation using
collaboration tools: Skype and Jabber Video; DE in system analysis and design,
including requirements gathering, documentation, data mining and
functional design using SQL queries in DB2 and Oracle environments, and UML tools
for object and data modeling on multiple platforms -- Linux, Unix, Windows
and Exadata machine.
