Job Description:

Duties: Will serve as a key member on the Fidelity Messaging Platform (FMP)

team, which supports Workplace Investing (WI) email and print

communications business and their initiatives to improve and to build upon

these applications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide systems analysis and support of FMP application components.

• Triage production incidents and work with system partners to

identify resolutions.

• Identify potential business/financial impacts and risks associated

with new ideas and approaches.

• Evaluate whether solution addresses root cause and suggests

alternative approaches.

• Combine proven solutions with new alternatives to resolve given

problem.

• Constructively challenge decisions by identifying and requesting

additional data and asking direct questions.

• Define guidelines or requirements for a solution (i.e. manpower,

time frame, budget, workplan, etc.)

• Anticipate and analyze future problems internal and external to

team and attempts to alleviate.

• Identify key design issues and recommend possible solutions.

• Identify project changes in order to asses and communicate impact.

• Integrate multiple user area requirements into overall requirement

document.

• Identify process improvements/ opportunities from the requirements.

• Identify inconsistencies, gaps and conflicting requirements.

• Recommends different approaches to gathering and documenting

requirements to meet the needs of different projects.

• Determines if requirements are optimal to support business

processes.

• Identify changes needed to support user requirements.

• Translates business requirements into functional specifications.

• Participate in business requirements inspection.

Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science,

Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics or related field (willing to accept

foreign education equivalent) as well as four (4) years of experience in

job offered or four (4) years experience in systems analysis and production

support of complex information systems. Experience must include:

Demonstrated expertise (DE) in systems analysis and design along the SDLC

of complex, large scale enterprise applications, according to

Waterfall/Agile methodologies; DE in Unica campaigns configuration, data

source and table mapping, flowchart development and issue triaging of high

volume email/print marketing and service campaigns for a communications

messaging platform; DE in data analysis using database querying, flat files

and XML files, including file transfers for system interface feeds.
