ProPath, the largest 100% physician owned nationwide pathology
practice, seeks a Financial Analyst to join our thriving practice.
ProPath is a nationally recognized practice founded in 1966 and
based in Dallas. We have over 50 physicians and PhD's on the team.
Our nearly 500 team members are based in 10 different states with
physical facilities in three.The Financial Analyst will use data
from various accounting, billing and clinical software packages,
develop and maintain corporate expense and profit analysis reports.
They will utilize data to analyze product profitability, forecast
new lines of business, and establish effective rate structure.
Create cost/profit scenarios and assist management in developing
pricing levels for contracts. Develop and track monthly budget
analysis. Produce and distribute monthly management
reports.PRINCIPLE DUTIES:Those duties that are performed regularly
to accomplish the purpose of the job. This is not an exhaustive
list of all duties and responsibilities, but rather a general
description of the work performed by this position.
- Prepare monthly management reports including the analysis of
business and financial trends. Create and present business unit
performance reports reflecting the impact of the items in #1 for
partners, management personnel and other interested parties.
- Analyze and prepare reports of division, service line, and
account profitability as needed.
- Develop departmental budgets and monthly variance reports
comparing actual to budget with explanation of variances. Analyze
impact of ongoing variances on annual budget.
- Maintain internal laboratory cost fee schedule to reflect
actual cost of operations and to analyze trends in costs.
- Work with other department personnel to propose MCO fee
schedules by CPT code and recommend market and competitive pricing
for services, to ensure service lines are priced appropriately to
yield a profit.
- Participate in maintaining compliance with federal and state

- Communicate effectively with all levels of management,
co-workers and clients to provide quality customer service.
- Represents ProPath in a courteous, professional manner.

- Maintain professional appearance through adherence to the
company approved dress code.
- Other related duties as assigned.EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:College
degree in Accounting or Finance required. Extensive knowledge of
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database programs. EXPERIENCE:A
