Seasonal Tax Senior - Real Estate Partnership - GCR West

Our real estate tax practice is comprised of a dedicated team of tax professionals strategically positioned across the country providing top notch tax consulting services to our clients.As a seasonal professional in our practice, your work on tax engagements will contribute to the delivery of quality tax planning and compliance services for our real estate industry clients.

The opportunity

EY is currently seeking experienced seasonal tax professionals for our winter/spring 2023 tax season. You'll join the team at a critical time, leveraging your expertise to help support our clients.In return, you can expect the support of some of the most engaging colleagues around. You'll receive hourly, over-time eligible pay, and a unique opportunity to enhance or refine your skills within one of our high performing tax teams.

Your key responsibilities

As a seasonal tax senior your main priority will be preparing or providing first/second-level reviews of tax returns for partnerships, while staying connected with the members of your team.The anticipated winter/spring 2023 tax seasonal time frame is January through April, with some variability depending on your needs and the needs of your team.Most teams have an average of 40 -50 hours/week available during busy season. Expectations around hours are discussed during the interview process for each role, so you'll be able to share your availability and know what to expect prior to coming aboard. In this role you'll be able to work remotely from within the United States, with no travel required.

  To qualify for the role you must have
  
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant partnership tax experience
  • A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization
    • Knowledge in partnership tax technical and transactional skills
      
      Ideally, you'll also have
      
      • A proven record of excellence in a top or mid-tier firm
      • Experience with real estate tax technical and transactional skills: REIT taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, or acquisition/disposition planning and structuring
