Candidates will need to be capable of rising to a variety of challenges while juggling multiple components of a fast-paced environment. This Staff Accountant role's duties will require preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. You might be our ideal candidate, if you are a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Your responsibilities- Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on- Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision- Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Partake in various department-wide initiatives- Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
