Bonus What this job involves – Maintains, installs, and
troubleshoots all aspects of electrical infrastructure. Operates,
inspects, and maintains all electrical equipment and systems in
assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and
life expectancy. Assures that equipment is being maintained in an
energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum
by anticipation of necessary repairs and keeping records of past
operating experiences. Individuals are expected to demonstrate
technical expertise in the electrical field while also maintaining
basic knowledge of all other trades to successfully complete
daily/weekly work assignments. What is your day to day? Demonstrate
knowledge of electrical / instrumentation / control building
equipment and systems required to operate and maintain electrical
equipment and systems. Plan and layout work details in the
assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide
variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used
in industrial light and power distribution systems including
equipment such as generating equipment, panels, automatic switches,
variable frequency drives, complex circuit breaking units,
transformer units, substations, and alarms. Troubleshoot and
correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors, and
other equipment. Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade
and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic
drawings. Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine
the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe,
environmentally compliant manner. Safely use a large variety of
hand and shop power tools. Complete all documentation by required
deadlines. Document accurately and clearly in the computerized
maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time. Perform all
incidental /associated work required to complete the job
assignment. Work with minimal supervision and proactively
communicate with manager. Maintain work area and equipment in a
safe, efficient, and clean operating condition. Strictly adhere to
all safety rules and regulations. Assist in performing other
duties, including work of other trades as required. Physical Work
Conditions - Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl
spaces, attics, vaults, etc. Able to work on roofs of buildings.
Subject to call in work 24 hours per day, perform on call duties
and overtime as required. Lifting to 80 lbs. Working from heights.
Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and
working/extending overhead. Working in adverse conditions (i.e.,
extreme cold, extreme hot). Driving for long periods of time.
Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool
bag weighing approximately 20 lbs. Desired experience and technical
skills Required Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state
driver’s license Electrician Journeyman’s and/or State License is
required High school diploma or state equivalent required A minimum
of 4 years of electrical trade school or training equivalent, with
5 years of electrical work experience. Knowledge of OSHA standards
and local codes. Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal
skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written
reports. Good verbal and written communications skills are required
Must present a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a
ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required
equipment, and operate a motor vehicle. Must be willing to
participate in additional OEM training in electric vehicle
chargers, infrared scanning and solar power systems and obtain any
certifications required. Must be willing and available to travel
within the United States as needed (approximately up to 25%)
Preferred Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application.
Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology
Experience working in a service-related role, specific to
commercial facilities. Experience in maintaining and servicing
electric vehicle chargers. Experience in performing electrical IR
scans and reporting. Experience in maintaining and servicing solar
power systems. Experience in maintaining and servicing battery
systems such as in solar and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
Experience in working with a team in planned electrical shutdown
maintenance at facilities. This position does not provide visa
