Job Summary UT Southwestern has an opening for the position of -Education Coordinator
This position works under minimal supervision to direct operation of program or project, exercising independent judgment and authority as required.
Essential Functions: Implement Global Health Education programs in alignment with goals and objectives of the Office of Global Health.
Draft guidelines and processes for education programs as needed with the input of the Program Manager and Program Director for Global Health Education.
Develop the monitoring and evaluation program framework to encompass all aspects of the education program and related electives.
Regularly updates the M/E metrics and reports them to the Program Director for Global Health Education.
Work closely with team members to contribute to quarterly and/or annual reports.
Serves as the primary liaison between Office of Global Health and various departments on campus; student organizations and external stakeholders as it relates to students.
Prepares and delivers presentations to internal and external stakeholders about student Global Health programs as needed.
Ensures the Office of Global Health is compliant regarding travel and global health experiences with applicable institutional policies such as IOC appeals process, utilization of ISOS, legal forms, emergency contacts, and all applicable course requirements. Ensures students are compliant with the University expectations.
Serves as the primary focal point for students on the MD with Distinction in Global Health track for logistics, communicating with students while they are on campus and abroad, administers applications and paper work, coordinates capstone presentation and submission of thesis required for obtaining the Distinction.
Develop and revise communication and key documents such as informational brochures; templates for electives; applications etc.
Coordinates activities for the International Visiting Medical Students program.
Regularly updates the Program Director for Global Health Education on progress of education initiatives.
Works on other duties such as contributing toward the website, the Global Health Data Tracking System, supports Grand Rounds, coordinates/prepares GHSAC meetings as needed.
Supervises designated staff (if applicable).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Required: Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field, and one (1) year of experience in appropriate field required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Work requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word and Excel.
Work requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work requires the ability to problem solve complex issues.
Work requires the ability to organize, prioritize and work within tight periods.
Work requires the ability to make sound, independent judgement.
Work requires the demonstration of a high level of professionalism, initiative, and diplomacy.
