COMPANY DESCRIPTIONSupportive Ed offers online academic support
services to public school districts and educational service
providers. Clients choose Supportive Ed to positively impact
academic performance, improve student engagement and benefit from
efficiencies afforded by technology. Outside of school, Supportive
Ed is the only academic resource for many students. Supportive Ed
services include:
One-to-one individualized assistance,
delivered by live, certified and experienced school counselors and
teachers24/7 access to online resourcesCampus-based implementation
support, training, and reportingPOSITION SUMMARYTo meet a growing
demand for online education, Supportive Ed is hiring part-time
state certified Math (Basic Math - Calculus) teachers to provide
academic support to high school students. After training and
onboarding, Supportive Ed Academic Coaches engage directly with
students by leveraging synchronous and asynchronous online
communication tools.By joining the Supportive Ed Academic Coaching
team, education professionals have the opportunity to do what they
love from the comfort of their home. Extra income, flexible hours,
and the ability to impact student lives are some of the reasons our
Academic Coaches continue to work with us year after
year.Candidates must be highly qualified and passionate about
helping students learn. Only candidates with prior school teaching
experience will be considered. Chosen applicants will undergo
background checks in order to comply with Federal and/or State
statutory criminal history requirements.EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's degree in Education,
Mathematics or a related field (required); Master's degree
(preferred)Requirements:
- Teaching certification in related subject matter
(required)
- 2-3 years middle school or high school classroom teaching
experience (required)
- 1-3 years previous tutoring experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated success improving student outcomes
- Positive attitude and an inherent understanding that all
children can learn
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly explain
concepts in an online environment
- Strong computer and typing skills; proficiency using Microsoft
Office programs
- Ability to stay organized, multi-task, and independently
problem-solve
- Availability to work evenings and weekends-dependability and
punctuality are a mustThree references and/or letters of
recommendation (required)
