Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) skilled in both English and Spanish is needed to support a K-12 school district in Mesquite, Texas. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 28, 2026, primarily covering K-5 campuses in an itinerant capacity. The role is on-site with a hybrid option allowing one day of remote work weekly for documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct speech and language evaluations as part of the districts evaluation team - Provide speech therapy services to students in grades K-5 - Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) - Maintain detailed reports, documentation, and communication with parents and school personnel - Utilize district resources such as testing kits, computer, badge, and district email account Qualifications: - Active Texas SLP license required - Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential - Experience working within a school setting is preferred - Ability to manage an itinerant caseload efficiently - Strong evaluation and reporting skills Work Schedule & Location: - Full or part-time up to 30 hours per week - On-site presence required with one day remote work flexibility - Based in Mesquite, Texas, serving multiple school campuses, primarily K-5 students Benefits: - Access to district evaluation resources and support - Collaborative work environment as part of a dedicated education team This position enables the SLP to make a significant impact on students communication development through both direct therapy and comprehensive evaluations.
