Job Description Job Description The Youth Sports Senior
Associate is responsible for the year round development, growth,
and operational excellence of mission driven youth sports
programming at the JCC. This includes core sports such as
basketball and soccer, innovative niche sports, preschool sports
programming, Sports Camp leadership, and serving as the JCC Maccabi
Delegation Head for Team Dallas. This position builds structured
pathways for youth athletic development while creating an
environment rooted in sportsmanship, Jewish values, inclusion, and
community connection. The Youth Sports Senior Associate works
collaboratively within the Sports & Recreation department to ensure
strong enrollment, operational efficiency, and exceptional
participant and parent experience. This is a full-time, exempt
position with a comprehensive benefits package. The Jewish

FUNCTIONS: Develop, implement, and evaluate youth sports leagues,
clinics, classes, break programs,special eventsand camps for
preschool through teen participants Oversee core programs including
basketball and soccer whileidentifyingand piloting new sports
opportunities such as flag football, futsal, archery, fencing,
martial arts, lacrosse, street hockey, track and field, volleyball,
and other emerging youth sports trends Maintain visible and
accessible presence at leagues, games, and events Build
partnerships with local schools, after school programs, and
community organizations Create structured seasonal calendars and
long-term program pathways Lead measurable year to year growth
through recruitment, retention, and program innovation Ensure all
programs reflect JCC values of inclusion, safety, sportsmanship,
and community Evaluate participation data and participant feedback
to refine offerings Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate
full-time, part-time, and contract coaches and referees. Ensure
staff are appropriately trained to work with various age groups
while upholding safety, customer service, and professionalism.
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to promote sports
programs via print, social media, and digital platforms. Create and
manage budgets;submitpurchase orders and payment forms promptly.
Maintain consistent communication with familiesregardingschedules,
updates, and events. Enter Programs and track registration, roster
management, waitlists, and program data within the JCC CRM
PRESCHOOL SPORTS COORDINATION: Support and empower the part time
Preschool Sports Coach through planningassistance, curriculum
alignment, scheduling coordination, and communication support Help
ensure ageappropriate, developmentally sound preschool sports
programming Maintainstrong communicationwith preschool
administration and families Monitorquality, safety, and participant
experience SPORTS CAMP DIRECTOR: Provide full leadership of Summer
Sports Camp including planning, staffing, scheduling,
communication, and evaluation Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate
seasonal camp staff Develop dynamic daily schedules aligned with
developmentalobjectivesand camp themes Manage camper groupings and
ensure safe, engaging programming Monitorcamp budget, payroll,
enrollment trends, and expense reconciliation Serve as a
collaborative member of the J Camps Leadership Team JCC MACCABI
DELEGATION HEAD: Recruit and market to Jewish teens for the JCC
Maccabi Games. Plan and conduct tryouts; assemble sport-specific
teams. Recruit, manage, and train volunteer coaches. Adhere to all
JCC Maccabi Protocols as outlined by JCC Association. Attend
Delegation Head Meetings as scheduled. Handle all gear, travel, and
registrationlogistics. Serve as primary contact for families and
participants throughout the year. Ensure all participants are fully
paid and registered for the JCC Maccabi Games. Be on call during
the week of the Games. Attend and supervise all official events
during the Games. Develop presentations and materials for pre-Games
meetings and planning. Act as a role model for athletes and
coaches; oversee transportation and delegate coordination. Ensure
the creation of the binder, PowerPoint presentations and
transportation schedule of the Delegation and coaches.
Cross-Department Responsibilities: Serve as a team player willing
toassistwith broader agency needs Work collaboratively with all
members of the Sports & Fitness department Support department wide
events and initiatives Coordinate gym and field usage in
collaboration with department leadership Ensure programs are
scheduled efficiently and fairly Report facility needs and
maintenance issues promptly Ensure equipment inventory
ismaintainedand safe Ensure adherence to all JCC policies and
procedures Maintainknowledge of emergency protocols Conduct monthly
AED inspections and track CPR certifications REQUIRED EDUCATION &
EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. CPR and
First Aid Certification preferred. Minimum 2 years of management
experience in youth programming, sports,campsor relatedfield.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized,
detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple long-term
projects. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment,
take initiative, and manage complex administrative tasks
efficiently. Must be innovative and imaginative, serving as a
positive role model for both staff and community members. Ability
tolift upto 50 lbs. This position requires independent
judgment,initiative,and advanced administrative skills. The person
