Program Chief Engineer EO/IR

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) has an immediate
opportunity for a Program Chief Engineer (PCE) within the Advanced
Tactical Pod (ATP) Tactical EO/IR Systems (TES) product line. This
new position is responsible for engineering cost, schedule, and
technical execution of the Program within the TES Product Line
within the Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance Systems
(ISRS) Mission Area. The PCE dual-reports to the Program Manager
and the TES Campaign Chief Engineer, and directly oversees the IPT
Leads and engineering leadership on the program.
The Program CE is the key contributor and single engineering
leadership point of contact responsible for the engineering
execution of an entire program, overseeing all technical, schedule,
and financial aspects.
The PCE will establish and manage a program vision, strategy and
goals to align the Program with the Customer and facilitate
conflict resolution; ensure technical integrity and engineering
execution across all IPTs, CPTs, and disciplines within the
Program; and is the primary program technical POC with the customer
senior technical counterparts.
The PCE has authority to manage all program engineering related
activities across the program; authority over and direct management
of the lead engineers to ensure that the overall system design is
optimized to meet the required performance within the project
constraints (cost and schedule), and to execute production
- Minimum of 12 years of mixed experience in airborne and
electro-optic sensing systems design, use-case development and
operational analysis, integration and test, and system
- Demonstrated prior success as Lead Design Engineer, Lead
Systems Engineer, Program Chief Engineer or Integrated Product Team
- Demonstrated prior success as Technical Lead on major
proposals, and ability to brief internally and externally at the
senior executive level.
- Ability to independently interact and lead engagement with
- Strong systems and design engineering experience, with
demonstrated ability to establish a strong technical baseline with
disciplined change management, while operating a rapid development
- Demonstrated ability to lead across a highly multi-disciplinary
role, requiring experience across all design engineering
disciplines, technical supplier management, business development,
and program leadership.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires
an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance as of day one of
employment. Candidate must also be 5-year current on their security
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data
- Factory establishment and production experience.
- Design experience with the Multi-Spectral Targeting System
(MTS), High Energy Lasers, or ATFLIR family of products, or other
EO/IR systems of similar complexity.
- Capture Management and Program Management leadership
Required Education: B.S. in Math, Physics, or Engineering or
related technical major required.
Desired Education: M.S. in Math, Physics, or Engineering or related
technical major required.
