POSITION SUMMARY:
    • Deploy New products, Processes & technologies
      • Deploy and validate the proper deployment through execution of validation plans
      • Participate in the building of tools/scripts for use in the team's processes (support, assessments)
      • Provide training
        • Deliver trainings and knowledge transfers covering standard operating procedures, and process standards, to Rx laboratories, and to lab technical support groups
        • Perform actions to standardize the labs
          • Perform equipment, process & Rx laboratory assessments focusing on process standards, process control, calibration, maintenance, product conformity and industrial performance
          • Define action plans w/ the lab and stakeholders and follow-up on it's implementation
          • Participate in the industrial pilots conducted in our Rx lens processing laboratories
          • Define and maintain process control methods and procedures required for process reliability and intended product conformity
            • Support technical risk analysis by providing insight on technical challenges and anticipating risks for relevant engineering activities and projects
            • Define and execute test plans to validate product and process conformity
            • Provide ad hoc support to solve crisis
              • Capture and analyze machine and production capability and performance data (EER, OEE, consumables, throughput, errors, kick-outs...)
              • Identify issues in product conformity, process and industrial performance and provide inputs to drive the HMC process continuous improvement cycle
              • Propose ideas for continuous improvement of existing processes
              • Analyze the needs of customers and stakeholders to identify mid-term issue resolution
                • Communicate
                  • Communicate at all levels within the Organization on project status and important technical points
                  • Create and present reports, presentations, spreadsheets and web-based tools to communicate progress and results of your work
                  • Keep up-to-date on relevant HMC technologies as well as monitoring competitor actions through available internal and external tools
                  • Visit with vendors and suppliers
                  • Deploy and maintain dashboards for the engineering teams of GE and the labs (Qlikview, web-based tools...)
                  • Participate in the Techno Club organization REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience:Minimum B.S. Degree in an engineering field in particular, in material science and/or chemistry and/or physics and/or mechanical engineering w/ process experience is preferred. Equivalent experience is, however, considered.3 to 5 years minimum experience in similar industries or technologies Language Ability:Excellent verbal and written communicationAbility to work and communicate effectively in a team and multicultural environment. Interpersonal Skills:Ability to work with all members of working groups, skill levels and expertiseA high level of demonstrated technical proficiency and aptitude (ie: problem solving skills, scientific methodology, statistical analysis, etc.).Ability to work independently and as a team member to accomplish objectives Reasoning Ability:Ability to multi-task and prioritizeDemonstrated sound judgment and decision making skillsFlexibility in work assignments to accommodate group and individual goals Math Ability:Advanced math such as College level AlgebraUnderstand decimal numerical sequencing Computer Skills:Proficient in computer use with Microsoft products (Office), Gmail and other software tools. Additional Qualifications:Results oriented and a demonstrated spirit of innovation. Able to propose and develop new processes and techniques with an eye towards the customer environment.
