Job Description:

This position performs and owns all aspects of new and existing medical product design, drawing, development, costing, confirming manufacturability, optimization, packaging, and documentation with adherence to all applicable standards. -PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Review product / system requirements and create new concepts for mechanical design of new product or enhance the design of existing product as required.2. Develop mechanical design to product specifications in compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codes.3. Design and develop tolerance stack analysis using 3D modeling and statistical tools4. Prepares layout and detailed drawings including all required fits, dimensions, section views and parts lists/BOM5. Conduct complex FEA to ascertain the design conforms to the functional and safety requirements.6. Conduct complex DFMEA and develop design controls to mitigate the product level risk.7. Investigate new materials and incorporate complex DFM and DFA principles into product design8. Perform mold flow analysis to ascertain the part design accommodates all injection molding process requirements.9. Lead design reviews for systems robustness and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)10. Perform root cause analysis to resolve design anomalies and incorporate design changes as necessary11. Work with external vendors to build prototypes and evaluate performance12. Travel to other manufacturing sites as necessary to support product launch efforts - -Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Required
• SolidWorks and FEA Required
• Ability to perform root cause analysis
• Knowledge of plastics and injection molding.
