Linux Infrastructure Engineer II

About the Role
The Linux Engineer will be working with the CIO teams to deliver
infrastructure solutions. These solutions will be technically
sound, resilient to failure, operationally supportable, and meet
the requirements of the business.
Responsibilities
Configuring and Administrating of RHEL
Operating System Hardening
Configuring Multipathing software on server to access redundant
storage paths
Adding or removing of nodes to a cluster
Performing Backup and restoring of OS
Working with the team to define and implement best practices and
standards within the organization
Documenting system administration procedures for routine and
complex tasks
Participating in off-hours maintenance windows and deployments
Coordinating with Automate systems administration tasks utilizing
open-source configuration management tools
Building, and maintaining Linux-based services
Tuning operating systems and applications to increase performance
and reliability of services
Diagnosing system operational problems quickly and effectively
Working with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems
Performing other duties as required
Requirements
7+ years of Linux platform administration and deployment
experience
Display problem-solving skills, with proven ability to analyze and
determine root cause and resolution for complex problems
Experience in automation or script development.
Understand networking protocols and components.
Experience designing and implementing High Availability,
Active/Active, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Experience working on a matrix team consisting of a variety of
infrastructure engineers, development teams, and client
relationship teams.
Customer service skills with a high level of professionalism and
the ability to work with complex designs and situations.
Proven ability to collaborate remotely.
Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment.
Keen attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Business, or equivalent work experience is desirable.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of
compensation-related information. For this position, actual
salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on
various factors including but not limited to location, experience,
and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on
business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In
addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees
including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision
programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan,
paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time.
The estimated salary range for this role is $62,370 - $85,657.
