service for our customers. Job Purpose Manage engineering projects;
design new equipment and improve and increase the capacity of
existing equipment so as to support the company in achieving
business goals, thus expanding and increasing profitability. Strive
to work to all necessary safety and environmental standards
ensuring you are sharing your technical knowledge. Set site
mechanical working and equipment standards. Key Responsibilities
Assist in leading projects for the design, specification and build
of new equipment so as to support the company in achieving business
goals. May act as the project manager on all aspects of engineering
projects including, but not limited to: budget preparation, project
planning with timelines, risk assessments, supervision of
construction phases, progress chasing, contractor organization, and
preparation of work instructions. Communicate with members of the
team and deliver training for site staff where necessary to ensure
the site personnel are working to the latest operational standards.
Support the team in maintaining site equipment, ensuring that
systems are electrically and mechanically safe, calibrated,
functioning to design and within test. Support the team with
repairs for the whole site and equipment development so that all
equipment is operating at a high aesthetic standard. Provide
support and technical evaluation for the purchase of capital
equipment, and maintaining good communication with purchasing staff
to ensure purchase of suitable equipment Support the team in
maintaining site equipment, ensuring that systems are electrically
and mechanically safe, calibrated, functioning to design and within
test. Support the team with repairs for the whole site and
equipment development so that all equipment is operating at a high
aesthetic standard. Ensure risk assessments and hazard
identification are carried out for all tasks being undertaken by
you, your colleagues and sub-contractors under your direct control.
Implement any necessary control measures and risk assessments Use
the lockout, tag-out, try-out system to ensure personal and team
safety. Work in accordance with all company policies relating to
health and safety. Any other tasks as required. Experience,
Knowledge and Qualifications Essential Degree level Mechanical /
Chemical / Manufacturing/process engineering or other relevant
degree At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience of managing engineering projects from concept to
delivery Experience of using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling or similar
Industrial safety experience including OSHA compliance Computer
literate with Word, Excel and Project Experience in Project
management Experience of using MS Projects Desirable Understanding
of chemical processing technique such as fractional distillation
Understanding of electrical and civil engineering Experience of
pressurized liquefied gas systems Experience in specification of
high pressure gas systems PLC programming / specification
experience Have a detailed understanding of relevant industry
standards CGA, ASME, ANSI, etc. Experience of routine maintenance
tasks Sub-contract management experience Skills and Competencies
