Job Description:
Based on your industry expertise, can you refer anyone for this
new search for a CONTROLS ENGINEER? Global leader in packaged foods
production, this company has experienced 7%/year growth over the
past 15 years; high-visibility role with global opportunities
(operations on the West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, Texas and
Europe 40 countries worldwide). This will support a $1 bil. div. of
a $5 bil. parent company, based just south of Dallas Texas. Base
salary low $100 s up to $130k/yr. for the ideal candidate, plus 15%
bonus and relocation assistance. The Maintenance Controls Engineer
is responsible for maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting of
all PLC programs and Industrial controls in the plant. This
position will be a resource for other individuals in the
Engineering group in the area of PLC s and controls. Training of
electrical personnel in all aspects of PLC troubleshooting is
required. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Preventive
and Predictive Maintenance Support
Performs and assists in Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
functions and repairing of the manufacturing equipment, electrical
controls, electrical equipment and functions in the facility and
other related duties.
Executes electrical maintenance functions for the facility as well
as electrical PM s; to include updating all existing PM s and
generating new PM s per equipment as new equipment is installed or
upgraded; additionally, work order repairs and improvement project
work.
Supports the CMMS system for work order generation and support of
production equipment. Maintenance and Production Support
Supports production and maintenance in troubleshooting to minimize
downtime and maximize efficiency
Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective
solutions
Develop and troubleshoot PLC, vision systems, and other automated
control systems
Tests and troubleshoots industrial controls, drives, servos, and a
variety of VFDs
Focuses on continuous improvements in existing plant software and
hardware related issues to minimize downtime on equipment
Write robotic programs to ensure operational efficiencies of
operating equipment for production
Interprets and communicates company policies to workers and
enforces all regulations and policies. Continually updates training
of maintenance technicians on all electrical equipment and/or
procedures Project work
Supports Senior Controls Engineer developing and creating
electrical specification for new equipment installation
