Job Description:
Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 yearsResponsibilities: As a
Transport Engineer, you will be part of a team that designs,
implements, documents, and manages the transport network in support
of wireless network in Central Texas. This position will be focused
mainly on the documentation of the transport network and equipment
in our Common Network Database (CND) formerly Granite/XNG as we
migrate from legacy Ethernet Backhaul to ENSE. ? Create equipment,
segments, and paths in CND to document the transport network for
new build macro cell sites, small cells, DAS/IB sites, microwave
systems, and dark fiber networks. ? Create new equipment, segments,
and paths in CND for ENSE hub migrations and update all once the
hub migration is complete. ? Create new equipment, segments, and
paths in CND for cell site router migrations to ENSE and update all
once the migration is complete. ? Work with other Transport
Engineers, external Transport Providers, and 3rd Party Vendors and
GCs to schedule, coordinate, and complete migrations. ? Ensure CND
stays synchronized with FUZE, INAM, and IOP and work with the
appropriate support teams to resolve any synchronization errors. ?
Ensure that work meets all applicable engineering, financial,
planning, and operational standards.MUST HAVE SKILLS: ? More than 3
years of relevant work experience ? Experience documenting
equipment and circuits in Granite/XNG or CND ? Transport experience
including: EBH, Microwave, Dark Fiber, and ISP/OSPDESIRED SKILLS: ?
Experience in office computer applications: Excel, Word, Visio,
PowerPoint, and Access. ? Excellent analytic, interpersonal, and
communication skills. ? Excellent organizational and planning
skills (setting and communicating priorities; anticipating workload
impact on resources of both self and team; delegating where
appropriate; consistently following up on outstanding items; and
providing focus in meetings and discussions). ? Flexible and
creative (seeks out and attempts alternate solutions to resolve
issues, and seamlessly adjusts to a dynamic, changing business
environment). ? Willingness to work flexible hours and support
night or weekend work as needed. ? Experience in telecommunications
/ data networking or wireless industry. ? Familiarity with cell
site routers, routing, and routing protocols to include ENSE-SR ?
Experience in 5G network architecture and equipment. ? Experience
driving troubleshooting efforts from outages to system
synchronization and reporting issuesEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelors and/or military experience preferred.
