Job Description:
Avis Budget Group is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic to
join our Budget Truck team, focusing on maintaining and repairing
our fleet of rental trucks. In this role, you will be tasked with
ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our vehicles,
contributing directly to our reputation for exceptional service. A
successful candidate will possess a strong technical acumen in
automotive maintenance, a passion for problem-solving, and a
commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and
quality. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all types of
trucks, including diagnostics and repairs. Address specific
technical issues involving engines, transmissions, and other
essential components. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical
and hydraulic systems. Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and
company standards at all times. Collaborate with the fleet
management team to ensure timely and efficient service activities.
Keep detailed records of services performed and parts used.
Participate in training and development sessions to stay current
with industry technology and updates. In-depth knowledge of diesel
engine components and systems. Ability to diagnose and repair
mechanical and electronic systems. Experience with hydraulic and
electrical systems maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills and
attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal
skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k Valid Commercial
Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. ASE Certification in
Medium-Heavy Truck is highly desirable.
