MECHANICAL ENGINEER - PE LICENSE (Or willing to obtain a PE License
in Texas) Location: In person (Potentially Hybrid) Employment Type:
Full time Compensation: $85,000 to $105,000 annually Bonus POSITION
OVERVIEW We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer (PE) with
strong experience in HVAC system design and Revit MEP modeling to
support residential and light commercial projects. This role
involves mechanical system design, BIM development, construction
documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. This
position is well suited for a mid career engineer looking to
advance technical expertise and take on increased project
responsibility within a growing MEP engineering practice. KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES Mechanical System Design Design HVAC and plumbing
systems for residential and light commercial buildings Perform
heating and cooling load calculations and engineering analyses
Select and size mechanical equipment including heat pumps, air
handlers, rooftop units, boilers, and pumps Design air distribution
systems including duct sizing, airflow, and static pressure
calculations Design plumbing systems including domestic water,
sanitary drainage, and vent systems Revit MEP and BIM Modeling
Develop and maintain Revit MEP models for HVAC and plumbing systems
Create coordinated BIM layouts for ductwork, piping, and equipment
Generate construction documents and detailed mechanical drawings
from Revit models Support internal BIM standards and Revit family
development BIM and Project Coordination Coordinate mechanical
designs with architectural, structural, and electrical teams
Identify and resolve clashes and coordination issues within BIM
models Participate in interdisciplinary coordination and project
meetings Engineering and Construction Support Perform engineering
calculations using industry tools such as Carrier HAP and
Wrightsoft Apply applicable codes and standards including ASHRAE
Review contractor submittals and shop drawings Respond to RFIs and
provide technical support throughout construction REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Active
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States 5 to 8
years of mechanical engineering experience in building systems
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP Experience designing HVAC
and plumbing systems for residential or commercial buildings
Willingness to obtain additional state licensure through comity as
required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS PE license in Texas or ability to
obtain Texas licensure quickly Experience with residential, multi
family, or mixed use developments Familiarity with Navisworks or
BIM coordination tools Background in a consulting engineering
environment KEY SKILLS HVAC system design Mechanical engineering
