In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging nurse leadership position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients by providing oversight, direction and management for busy Telemetry Unit focusing on the care of Cardology patients. The unit is made up of RNs, Patient Care Techs and Clinical Secretaries who care for complex and chronically ill patients, requiring strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Your Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing or other health-related program preferred. Current BLS certifications required. Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas. Four years of work experience in acute care hospital setting; progressive management/leadership experiences Ability to interpret financial reports. Proactive to analyze problems accurately, develop recommendations and take appropriate actions to resolve issues. Computer literate including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (Epic preferred) Your Job Responsibilities: Functions as a consultant/resource on a specified unit to assist with staff/patient/customer needs and assumes 24-hour accountability. Coaches and develops the skills and talents of the unit staff, with emphasis on the unit leadership team. Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of clinical and managerial competence. Monitors patient care, develops and implements action plans from trends identified. Always look for ways to improve the patient experience Participates in planning and implementation of budget. Monitors and addresses variances with the budget.
