Description The Creative Group is looking for an Executive Director of Public Relations for a faith-based non-profit in Dallas, Texas. The Executive Director of PR will be responsible for managing all communications for our faith based non-profit client with a focus on strategic communications and the CEO. The Executive director of Public Relations will ensure that all opportunities for the CEO will be fully vetted specifically from a communication and political standpoint. The Executive director of Public Relations will drive all corporate strategy and message development pitch and announcement strategies, urban marketing and media experience required, analyst programs, special events and conference activities, speaking engagements, as well as other duties. The Executive Director of Public Relations may provide or assist with the overall direction and develop programs for company communications, including branding initiatives, internal communications and external media relations. This position determines communications strategy and executes programs to deliver communications objectives throughout the organization. The Executive director of Public Relations will maximize opportunities for the development of the corporate culture internally and externally. Urban Media and Marketing experience required. Domestic and International experience preferred. Up to 40 travel required and Sunday is a required work day. Responsible for development of communication strategies for delivery of corporate culture and business strategy. Develops and Manages Media Relations "vision" and maximizes media opportunities. Acts as company representative and networks with media representatives. Proactively develops media relations. Coordinates and directs corporate strategies in political arena. Strategizes and develops delivery and packaging plans for corporate messages. Responsible for planning and implementing campaigns, maintaining media relations and managing budgets. Directs all internal publications through editorial meetings, development of story angles, identification of key issuesplayers interviews and writes as needed. Publications include newsletters, releases, email announcements, planned publications, on-line, intranet, video, special projects and assignments. Coordinates and directs the corporate Communications Meetings facets to include content, logistics, technical resources. Requirements Masters degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field andor extensive experience in communications, public relations or marketing is desired but not required. Minimum 10 years' experience in communications and media relations, with some political affairs experience and a strong rolodex. Minimum of 4 years' experience in leadership. Demonstrated strategic thinking, creativity and decision-making and written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Proven multi-media preparationproductiondelivery.
