Genuent is hiring an IT Project Manager III for our direct client. This is an onsite opportunity located in Frisco, TX. IT Project Manager III Location: Frisco, TX Duration: 1 Year Contract A Project Manager is responsible for driving moderately complex projects and/or components/phases of larger, more complex projects. Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Leads and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure. Could be technical or non-technical. You must be able to communicate with business and technical staff alike and be able to manage to scope and commitments. You are a collaborative manager who oversees and has accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of the projects and helps drive our culture of empowerment, ownership, quality, and accountability. The purpose of the Technical Project Manager role is to deliver program/project outcomes within time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction parameters for various key initiatives. This role will provide leadership of the planning and execution of the program(s), a vision, strategic planning and supporting tactical execution plans for a strategic, pan-*** service or set of services. This program/project crosses multiple business areas and has a high degree of complexity, senior executive visibility, and high risk if not delivered on-time and with expected quality levels. This associate is expected to work under minimal supervision with oversight provided by the Delivery Director. --- Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful delivery of the program/project as defined in the program charter/scope --- Develop and Manage the complete view of the overall program/project for all stakeholders, at all levels, including executive management at the highest level --- Exhibit proactive behavior by engaging in program planning activities, including but not limited to: Defining and controlling the overall scope of the program/project --- Creating and maintaining a consolidated timeline highlighting the major milestones and associated dates for program activities; Identifying and communicating program/project dependencies and impacts; Putting mechanisms in place to ensure on-going control of the program/project (E.g., Program Approach, Risk Management, Issues Management, Change Control, etc.), ensuring proper turnover to Operations for all components --- Execute project/program in alignment with governance as defined by CIO/FTS Leadership --- Ensure success criteria is defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage expected outcomes --- Keep all stakeholders (internal & external) engaged in the program/project, aligned on expected outcomes, and informed about what is occurring throughout program/project --- Proactively communicate the program/project progress on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency throughout program/project lifecycle. Provide leadership and key stakeholders with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions --- Assess challenges and commit to actions after identifying alternative methods that are based on logical assumptions and information. Lead and escalate effectively for accelerated problem-solving when teams are facing obstacles. --- Maintain and manage program/project from all aspects including scope, efforts, timeline, risk, and issues dependencies --- Work with Technical Delivery leaders on spend commitment requests and approvals, actual spend, remaining budget, and all aspects of the financial plan. --- Develop, manage, and maintain program/project level client communications; review and oversee the client changes required and the progress towards those changes. --- Ensure complete, end-to-end testing and client signoff for test success prior to all go-live, cutover, migration, and other Production activities. --- Technical responsibilities include problem identification, strategy development, implementation planning, testing coordination, and solution deployment planning. --- Experience thriving in matrixed organization, including our partners, offshore and 3rd party teams. --- Excellent team player, capable of working with all levels within the organization. --- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for meetings, working sessions, discussion with participants having varying level of experience. --- Release management experience is a must --- SCRUM methodologies and Agile development experience is a must ADDITIONAL SKILLS: --- Experience working in the Financial Services industry is a strong plus. --- Understanding of Git version control and source code management concepts --- Excellent project management skills. --- Experience working with MS Project and JIRA --- Management of multiple projects is a plus EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Bachelor---s degree in Computer Science or discipline.
