Job Summary The Senior Director of Engagement & Participation
will be responsible for providing direction, management, planning,
and strategy for UT Southwestern's annual giving and grateful
patient programs. The incumbent will focus on developing a robust
donor pipeline and growing the UT Southwestern donor pool.
Additionally, he/she/they will be responsible for helping to raise
the profile of the institution, create a culture of philanthropy,
and increase alumni, friends, and grateful patient giving in terms
of revenue generation, donor engagement, marketing presence, and
institutional impact. The incumbent will partner closely with
Advancement Services, Constituent & External Relations, and
Development Programs to provide direction to new and growing
programs that engage students, alumni, grateful patients, and
friends of the Medical Center, while encouraging their financial
support. Job Duties
- Direct and manage the Office of Development and Alumni
Relations\' annual giving, grateful patient, and alumni relations
teams and activities.
- Responsible for developing and monitoring an annual operating
budget.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Vice
Provosts, Deans, and Development Officers providing best practices
for annual giving and alumni relations.
- Responsible for building a strong base of annual support for UT
Southwestern through planning, implementation, management, and
evaluation of numerous programs, including student and alumni
philanthropy initiatives, direct mail appeals, and email
solicitations.
- Design and develop an overall strategy, priorities, and goals
for the long-term expansion of revenue generation, alumni and donor
engagement, marketing presence, and institutional impact.
- Develop a strong Annual Fund brand and message.
- Grow the Circle of Friends to become a leading annual giving
society.
- Establish goals for growth in annual giving programs.
- Serve as a consultant to the Medical School, School of Health
Professions, and School of Biomedical Sciences in alumni engagement
activities.
- Through the use of analytics and innovative revenue generation
opportunities, increase annual giving revenue and develop donor
support and pipelines.
- Determine target markets using demographic and market research.
Provide related analysis, reports, and other pertinent information
as needed.
- Hire, train, develop, and manage staff. Plan, assign, and
oversee the work of staff to ensure that objectives are met.
**Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned. Experience and
Education Bachelor's degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of
demonstrated successful experience in annual fundraising.
Experience working in an academic medical center, health care, or
higher education is required. Salary Salary Negotiable Working
