Take a closer look to learn why a career with Genoa Healthcare might be the path to discovering your life's best work.(sm) The Associate Director of Communications will be focused on leading, building, and implementing a communications strategy and plan for both internal and external communication, with clearly defined objectives, key performance indicators, audiences, and timetables, and come with a solid knowledge of best practices in digital communications. This role will ensure that everything Genoa communicates aligns with the vision of the organization. - You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: -

  • Creates an effective communications strategy for both internal and external communication
  • Collaborates effectively with Genoa marketing team, building communications strategies that enhance and support marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Creates and defines the desired "customer experience." Customer could mean consumer, caregiver, parent, clinician, etc. -
  • Infuse the vision of Genoa into everything we do from online (social media, email marketing, videos, website) to offline (signage, guest experience, bulletins, etc.). Bridge the gap between what is being heard and what is being done. A strategic communicator connecting the why to the what
  • Leads high priority enterprise-wide initiatives, collaborating across the organization, setting clear direction, and influencing leaders across Genoa
  • Manages multichannel communications campaigns with internal staff while developing and executing communications plans, strategies, and tactics to include branding, public relations, communications collateral, digital and print media, email, e-newsletters, web content, blogs, webinars, mobile and social media around -

  • Lead and motivates staff to produce high-level, brand-driven content Management Success Practices: -

    • Facilitating Execution Plans: translate an enterprise strategy into a workable local tactical plan. Managers must decide what path to follow, what tasks need to be done and by whom, how progress is going to be measured, what resources are needed and what contingency plans to put in place if something goes wrong. Finally, the plan needs to be properly communicated so everyone on the team can follow it
    • Fostering Innovation: adapt and innovate in response in response to changes in customer sentiment and conditions surrounding the team. Creating the conditions to be restless, stay curious and foster innovation requires that managers listen without judgement and employees stay open to change and are willing to explore new ideas and possibilities -
    • Acquiring, Assessing and Deploying Talent: responsible for sourcing, screening, hiring, on-boarding, orientation, deploying, training, developing, and terminating employment when that is called for

Required Qualifications:
      • 5+ years of relevant experience in communications, journalism, or marketing in a matrix organization -
      • 3+ years of management experience and displayed ability to manage multiple projects while leading a team, developing others, fostering collaboration, and increasing employee engagement - Preferred Qualifications: -
        • Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications or related field -
        • Experience developing and executing strategic communication plans, and making sound decisions with minimal oversight or supervision -
        • Client management experience -
        • Demonstrated experience in responding to or creating specialized communications issues, like crisis comms, M&A, PR, weather/disaster issues, and other challenging situations -
        • Demonstrate knowledge of communications systems and trends, specifically news and media outlets and sources, and current and emerging trends -
        • Skilled storyteller: A gift for corporate storytelling with excellent written and oral communication skills (speaking, writing, editing, print, electronic, web and social media) -
        • Collaborate effectively with Genoa marketing team, building communications strategies that enhance and support marketing campaigns and initiatives -
