Salad and Go was founded in 2013 in Gilbert, Arizona. The company
currently operates 50+ stores across Arizona and Texas.Position
Summary:Salad and Go is seeking a Director of Continuous
Improvement that will report directly to our Chief Supply Chain
Officer. This role is responsible for the delivery of process
innovation and continuous improvement across the manufacturing and
supply chain network. It will play an important role in helping to
foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and
embedding of LEAN methodology, and the supporting framework, to
deliver business transformation.Core job duties +
responsibilities:
- Develop a best-in-class Continuous Improvement Strategy for
Salad and Go Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations, focused on
LEAN programs, training and engaging with teams to build a
collaborative culture to support an ongoing, sustainable program of
change
- Build a team of skilled Continuous Improvement Engineers and
provide ongoing, effective coaching to complete projects by
identifying and eliminating barriers
- Lead and facilitate LEAN and continuous improvement-based
workshops to drive ideas and solutions, provide forums for
innovative thinking, ongoing PDCA and GEMBA execution, to eliminate
unnecessary complexity within the business processes
- Creates opportunities for instructional guidance, including
development and delivery of Lean training, especially during Kaizen
events and other initiatives that require subject matter expertise,
to ensure others can lead, champion, and sustain process
improvements
- Ensure the business impact and project objectives and
dependencies are identified, reported and managed, and use
operational and financial data, and KPIs to identify trends and
process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement
monitoring system
- Partner with FP&A on advanced data collection and financial
analyses to prove ROI and determine feasibility on process
improvement, equipment, and/or technology
- Develop capital budgets from initial scope through project
completion and ensure projects well executed and accomplish the
business impact outlined in the project scope on time and within
budget
- Proactively prioritize, manage and monitor projects to ensure
effective root cause analysis, execution, and implementation of
sustainable improvements that positively affect our business
performance
- Provides cross-functional coordination and Lean subject matter
expertise to ensure improvement in key KPI's: safety, cost, food
production, and deliveryRequirementsThe ideal candidate possesses:
- Bachelors degree, Masters preferred
- Accredited Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Minimum 5-7 years proven continuous improvement leadership
experience from a similar role, including project management and
business analysis, with strong analytical and problem-solving
skills
- Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written
communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact
with personnel at all levels of the organization
- Excellent understanding and demonstrated application of
advanced problem solving and change management concepts in a
manufacturing environment, including Lean, Value Stream Mapping,
PDCA, Kaizen, consistent with establishing a culture of continuous
improvement
- Advanced project management skills for multiple concurrent
projects of high complexity
- Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and drive results
through others not under direct supervisionBenefits
