We know that food is rooted in culture and tradition so we promote diversity in our lessons and recipes, encouraging our participants to celebrate the world around them.Position Overview: Senior Program Manager, Dallas TXCommon Threads is seeking a passionate, results-oriented Senior Program Manager (SPM) to lead our Dallas-Fort Worth program operations. The SPM will lead the overall strategy, program implementation, and relationship management across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In addition, the SPM will build a foundation for sustainable growth and successful program implementation, ensure compliance and engagement with local school systems and local government. An ideal candidate would be an expert in project management, partnership development, programming for elementary, middle and high school students, and quality assurance. This position also oversees a team of a part-time Program Coordinator and Chef Instructors and will have opportunities to further grow the Dallas-Fort Worth team.This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Associate Director of Programs based in Dallas. This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite (Dallas office) and remote days as determined by the manager with regular local travel to school and community partner sites, and occasional travel outside of Dallas/Fort Worth area.Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Development and Management in Dallas-Fort Worth including:
    • Recruit new schools and kitchens for partnerships per network growth goals
    • Build and maintain current relationships with schools and community-based organizations as part of our focus on Policy, Systems, and Environment
    • Coordinate and facilitate special events at schools, community-based organizations, and other fundraising events representing and being an advocate for Common Threads
    • Work with school administration and teachers to schedule and implement programs
    • Manage specific program pieces such as rosters, curriculum
    • Establish and execute programmatic goals for the market by managing key partners, stewarding relationships, and appropriately documenting in Salesforce (CRM)
    • Manage part-time Program Coordinator and part-time Chef Instructors
    • Conduct frequent class observations
    • Set goals and metrics for success for the Dallas-Fort Worth market
    • Carry out regular check-in meetings to ensure the team are meeting program quality metrics
    • Lead hiring for all Dallas-Fort Worth Program team positions, as needed
    • Manage communications to program staff, main contacts, and volunteers to provide them with clear expectations and to assure that classes run as scheduled.
    • Work in collaboration with the Research & Evaluation team to provide accurate data and reporting, including collection of both pre-and post-surveys, as well as consent forms, attendance forms, and other data collection tools as needed
    • Lead cross-functional national impact projects which drive program improvement and innovation based on available data, feedback, and lessons learned
    • Increase brand awareness of Common Threads and represent CT at community and district events/meetingsThe above statements are intended to describe the essential job functions of this role and are not an exhaustive list of all duties performed by personnel occupying this position. Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in a relevant field (Public Health, Nutrition) a plus
      • Knowledge of nutrition and cooking preferred
      • 3-5+ years' experience in nonprofit organizations
      • 2-3+ years' experience with direct staff management and supervision of staff
      • Bilingual a plus
      • Experience working with culturally diverse audiences
      • Comfortable using written tools for assessing readiness, partner needs, and quality of programs
      • Strong organizational, time management, and logical thinking skills; must be task-oriented
      • Possess positive, upbeat energy and a passion for wellness, food access, equity, and making a positive impact on society
      • Strong skills in written & verbal communication and adapting role and communication style depending on the task
      • Must have access to car/public transportation and willing to travel locally as needed in Dallas/Fort Worth metro area
      • Ability to work within a mission-driven environment to develop professional and respectful relationships with people both internal and external to Common Threads
      • Ability to work independently and remotely with confidence and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
      • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive documents. Experience with other software, including Salesforce, Slack and Asana, a plus
      • Experience working with external stakeholders, including donors and board members a plusAdditional Information:
        • Anticipated start date is January 2023
