Planning Director (Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX) Summary The -Planning Director -has a strong -insights and strategy background, -with -knowledge and experience -to -help our clients -build their brands and businesses at every commerce touchpoint. -They -will have an analytical -and curious mind with the interest and ability to work seamlessly across disparate consumer goods and services categories and understand the challenges and journeys for varied retail verticals. -They -will have a collaborative, friendly personality and will be able to build strong partnerships with both internal and client teams. -The Planning Director will -lead strategy development across client -teams -as assigned -and -coach -junior -associates within the -Planning discipline -as necessary. Core -Responsibilities --- -Work primarily in collaboration with each business's PACTD teams (Planning, Account, Creative and Digital) to create the link between consumer motivation and shopper behavior pre/in/post store, generating action-oriented -consumer and -shopper insights that build effective -full funnel -strategic frameworks for a range of marketing objectives
--- -Lead the account (client and internal) in the development of -learning -plans -along withplanning and executing -research, -analyzing, -and quantifying business opportunities -and developing -marketing strategies -that -achieve goals
o -Translates -data and research -into -meaningful insight
o -Builds effective consumer and shopper journeys
o -Crafts strategies that help build brands and businesses at every touchpoint
--- -Operates within the TPN Method -to take the lead on -PACTD team inspiration briefs, as well as storytelling for client presentation initiatives, to assure that our -human centered -approach is consciously and consistently engrained in our -creative -work -and media planning
--- -Embed insight and strategy that inspires remarkable creativity with ideation and activation that sets TPN apart from other agencies and delivers on client objectives
--- -Stay abreast of, and keep team informed about -what's -trending within the client's industry and within -commerce -in general
--- -Be recognized as an -indispensable -thought leader by clients and internal teams, through partnership & coaching
--- -Involved in leading the planning on New Businesses pitches and internal pla n ning/growth as needed Core -Requirements: -

--- -Inspires others with concise, effective storytelling
--- -Contributes to smart, forward thinking POVs on industry-wide topics
--- -Ability to work and think in an entrepreneurial minded environment Client -Engagement --- -Ability to build quality relationships with key clients based on professionalism, credibility and confidence
--- -Capable of representing the TPN Planning POV with the client
--- -Trusted as the final approver for client-facing communications for lower tier projects
--- -Demonstrates ability to -present and gain support for -strategic ideas directly -from -clients

--- -Sound business and professional ethics Requirements --- -Years Experience: -10+ -years in Strategy Development, -Planning, Insights, Analytics or -Research -roles -with communications agencies or a combo of agency + client -
--- -Experience in a Shopper Marketing/Activation/Promotion/Digital -Agency, Consulting Firmor within a Client -Brand Management, -Shopper -Marketing or Channel Management role(preferred, not required)
--- -Consumer healthcare experience (preferred, not required)
--- -Education: Four-Year Degree (MBA -preferred but not required)
