They are motivated to come in, identify gaps, and drive process improvement, including documentation, implementation, maintenance, updates, etc.--- -The VP of Technical Operations will work collaboratively with the Executive Management team to guide and oversee remote engineering offices in the planning, development, deployment, and operational maintenance of our entire technology stack. This role demands expertise in modern software engineering operations with an even stronger emphasis and command of enterprise resource planning (ERP) at scale.--- -Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work closely with product development to intimately understand and translate business goals into meaningful targets for execution throughout our engineering and operations organization.--- -
• Refine, champion, and execute departmental processes beginning from early-stage validation and planning to operational maintenance of released products.--- -
• Encourage innovation and creativity in modern technology solutions.--- -
• Embrace and implement Agile Software Development with a strong emphasis on DevOps philosophy.--- -
• Responsible for documentation, implement and support storage, backup/recovery, virtualization, cloud technology and migration strategies. -
  • Develop standards and capacity management for large enterprise level storage and virtualization environment. -
  • Evaluate current state, identify opportunities for change, and drive the implementation/change management. -
  • Responsible for the management and leadership of Systems Engineering and its sustainment/escalation groups, stewardship of assigned resources including the cost, schedule, technical performance, SLA, and other deliverables. -
  • Maximize build and operational efficiencies through orchestration and automation of the virtualization and cloud environments. -
  • Responsible for Engineering Solutions for core infrastructure, cloud infrastructure and application around various operating systems. -
    • Manage and foster an environment of continual improvement, mentorship, ambition, and recognition.--- -

      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.--- -
      • 12+ years Information Technology Leadership managing enterprise scale infrastructures across broad technology disciplines such as Compute, Operation Systems, Storage, Networking, Cloud, and Web Hosting. -
        • 10+ years demonstrated leadership experience managing a development/engineering team with multiple direct reports including other Managers and/or Senior Managers; focused on software development of web-based applications (SaaS; IaaS), on-premises-software as well as multi-tenant and cloud-based software. -
        • In-depth knowledge in any of the following SAN/NAS storage subsystems, NetApp, VMWare, Nutanix. -
        • Experience with early stage/young companies with the motivation to come in and identify gaps and drive process improvement, including documentation, implementation, maintenance, updates, etc.--- -
        • Ability to attract, manage, and develop skilled staff.--- -
        • Experience facilitating cross organizational solutions in response to varied objectives.--- -
        • Knowledge of software quality assurance best practices, industry trends, and tools/frameworks.--- -
          • Ability to produce high quality deliverables while meeting SLAs.--- -
          • Ability to effectively prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.--- -
          • Proven ability to develop, communicate, motivate, and influence teams.--- -
          • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.--- -
          • Must be able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time to sites, client meetings, attend industry training, and events. -
            • Adaptable, willing to learn, with a questioning attitude; determined to identify root causes and resolve issues. -
            • Ability to speak French is a plus. -
