Your Part in it:The Spirits Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing and growing MSIA's diverse spirits portfolio of rare, craft, and luxury spirits. As Portfolio Manager you will be leading the success of our brands by building and managing important account and supplier relationships, driving quality distribution.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drive brand success via leadership selling against trade channels and actively supporting the selling efforts of sales reps, district managers, and key account managers.
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding brand case and account sold goals as well as gross margin goals
• Achieve assigned KPIs including distribution and volume initiatives
• Plan special events designed to garner brand awareness among consumers and support supplier sales
• Communicate market conditions to the supplier (trend and brand issues)
• Understand the specific needs and marketing strategies of the key accounts objectives
• Develop and enhance strong supplier/distributor relationships
• Manage supplier inventory
• Manage supplier accounts receivable
• Monitor field implementation and execution of programs for assigned brands to ensure product pricing and promotion
• Regularly interact with field management for updating programming and brand priorities, brand standards and best practices leading to successful execution in the market
• Provide detailed tracking reports of customer performance against agreed-to supplier objectives
• Function as the liaison between the supplier and the sales force
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
• Work flexible hours which include early morning, evenings, and/or weekends
  Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Capable of identifying new opportunities
  • Skilled in securing new customers and sourcing potential brands for the portfolio
  • Knowledgeable in sales, marketing, and nationwide distribution

    Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 3+ Years' experience in the spirits industry and related experience within distribution, hospitality, or supplier community
    • 2-5 years' experience in managing a spirits portfolio
    • CSS (Certified Specialist of Spirits) (Preferred)
    • W-SET level 3 certified (Preferred)
    • Background in spirits sales required
    • Previous experience onboarding brands and managing a portfolio of spirits
