Marquis Asset Management Inc is seeking a HUD Manager to join
our team in Houston, TX (77033).Who We Are:Marquis Group was
founded in 1992. Beginning as the Marquis Group before maturing and
branching into Marquis Development Inc, Condo Marketing Inc, and
Marquis Asset Management Inc, our firm has grown and developed
every year. Marquis Asset Management houses its own accounting
department, compliance department, human resources, and site
operations team, while Marquis Group also has an in-house
Acquisitions Team, Development Team, and Property Management.What

availableAbout the Role:Responsible for overall fiscal
accountability, marketing development, personnel and physical
management of a multi-property residential portfolio. Effectively
managing and coordinating people, activities and available
resources in order to maximize the successful operation of the
portfolio. Ensures the operations of the property/processes comply
with the policies and procedures, Fair Housing and other applicable
laws and regulations governing our operations.Please note travel
would be required 60-75 percent of the time. What You'll Do:Fiscal
accountability for portfolio performanceMonitor all core business
processes, including leasing, resident relations, marketing,
maintenance, adhering to city and/or affordable program
requirements, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable,
vendor relations, selection and recruitment, and team
developmentAccurate and on-time submission of all reportsDevelop
and implement property budgets (i.e., analyze historical operating
data; monitor market indications including absorption rates,
housing starts, new job, etc., review historical leasing and
occupancy trends; identify resources available and set realistic
performance goals, etc.)Monitor property expenses on a monthly
basis. Account for monthly budget variances and implement new
strategies when required. Suggest budget adjustments related to
objectives and goalsPersonnel ManagementAdhere to all federal,
state and local employment law as well as Company's HR policies and
proceduresEnsure compliance with all Affordable Programs
regulations and/or other federal, state and local requirements
applicable to propertyUse effective techniques to screen, hire,
orient and train new management personnel with established company
guidelinesAssist Property Managers in recruiting, interviewing and
training all property staff positionsOversee, implement or
participate in on-going staff training, coaching, counseling and
guidance. Monitor management and staff performance, motivation, and
cross-training. Develop employees through performance feedback and
challenges. Ensure dedication, diligence, conscientiousness, etc.
Delegate responsibilities and special projects to managers as
necessarySkills Required: Strong skills in OneSite, EIV and TRACS
program are essentialMust be able to read, write and communicate
effectivelyAbility to interact professionally with residents,
vendors, contractors and clientsMathematical skills are
requiredProficiency in using property management software(s) used
by the Company, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and
PowerPoint) in order to complete required reports and employment
documentsMust have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws, OSHA
Requirements, EEOC Laws,and Local, City and State
OrdinancesKnowledge and (3) plus years of experience in
multi-family property management portfolioAbility to clearly and
effectively communicate both verbally and in writingHave a positive
attitude and keep a solution-based and customer-focused mindset at
all timesDegrees/Certifications/Association
