The Director, Hydrogen leads the development and implementation of the HyElement Power decentralized hydrogen production network. Overall responsibility for executing plans to improve business operations and drive overall growth and profit objectives. Ensures all company standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Lead the organization in implementing a decentralized hydrogen production network by translating overall business plans and objectives into strategies, tactics and deployment initiatives
2. Optimize network value through strategic technology selection, site location and deployment
3. Define and deploy mid-stream and dispensing strategy and tactics
4. Continually evaluate commercial hydrogen demand to develop and implement carbon intensity strategy to meet customer demands, optimize network value and investment returns
5. Oversee and drive commercial contract strategy and pricing
6. Partner with Sammons businesses to deliver end to end hydrogen fueled mobility solutions to shared customers
7. Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, the safe and successful deployment of hydrogen technology and customer service excellence
8. Analyze, interpret and own P&L for the organization to optimize return on investment
9. Continually review processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement in all areas (e.g. delivery, customer satisfaction, efficiency, profitability, etc.)
10. Create data driven models and strategies to gain additional internal investments
11. Drive talent acquisition initiatives to bring top tier candidates into the organization
12. Perform other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Basic Knowledge & Competencies:
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
--- Ability to identify root cause of problems and implement corrective action
--- Excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills
--- Strong financial acumen and understanding of the business
--- Demonstrated ability to develop processes and procedures
--- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
--- Proven ability to exhibit professionalism during stressful situations
--- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Previous Experience/Education:
--- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in material science, engineering or related field, MBA preferred
--- 10+ years' experience working with hydrogen production, oil & gas or energy sector
--- 10+ years' experience in manufacturing, business planning, management or corporate strategy
--- Significant experience in customer-facing activities and professional services preferred
--- Demonstrated, consistent success delivering multiple multi-dimensional, multi-phased projects simultaneously that also have a measurable impact to both the funding company's top line revenue and customer satisfaction.
--- Prior experience with permitting and regulatory laws
--- Prior experience utilizing data to drive business decisions and measure results PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
--- Ability to travel as required (10% - 50%), depending upon functional requirements
--- Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis
--- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
