Job Description:
Under the direction of the Managing Director of Analytics and
Insights, the Director of Postsecondary and Workforce on the
Analytics and Insights team will be responsible for leading the
data analytics efforts aligned to the programs at the Commit
Partnership focused on increasing the number of students ready for
postsecondary education, transitioning, and persisting in
postsecondary education, earning postsecondary degrees and/or
credentials, and earning a living wage. The position will work
closely with cross-functional teams and external partners and
stakeholders to further the mission and progress toward the North
Star Goal. This is a leadership role that requires a combination of
technical expertise, strategic thinking and strong communication
skills. The Director will be responsible for managing two to three
employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis. Oversee the collection,
validation, and analysis of education and workforce data sources to
extract meaningful insights. Utilize statistical analysis and data
visualization techniques to present findings in a clear and
compelling manner.
- Insights Generation. Generate actionable insights that inform
program enhancements and strategic planning. Drive the adoption of
data-driven decision-making throughout the organization and among
partners.
- Predictive Analytics. Implement predictive modeling and
forecasting techniques to anticipate trends and potential
challenges. Provide recommendations for proactive interventions
based on data-driven insights.
- Data Governance. Establish and maintain data governance
protocols, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. Develop
and enforce best practices for data collection, storage, and
usage.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with members of
the postsecondary and workforce-focused Commit program team and the
communications and policy team to align analytics initiatives with
organizational priorities.
- Team Leadership. Manage a team of data analysts, providing
mentorship, guidance, and professional development
opportunities.
- Stakeholder Communication. Communicate complex analytical
findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling
manner.
- Continuous Improvement. Stay current with industry trends and
emerging technologies in data analytics and education. Identify
opportunities to enhance data infrastructure and tools.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skills

a key part of the role
- Strong communication skills-in email, Word, and PowerPoint as
well as chart development and meeting facilitationEducation and/or
Experience Required:
- Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant filed
(e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Education Research)
- Professional Experience: Proven experience (8+ years) in a
leadership role overseeing data analytics
- Management Experience: Proven leadership and team management
skills, fostering collaboration and professional growth
- Technology Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and
PowerPoint Preferred:
- Experience with education data and relevant social impact
metrics is highly desirable, particularly postsecondary education
and workforce data
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing data
analytics within the nonprofit or education sector
- Experience using Tableau, PowerBI, SPSS, R, Alteryx, and/or SQL
Language Skills:
- Ability to understand sentences and frequently used expressions
related to areas of most immediate.
- Ability to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a
simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine
matters.
- Ability to describe in simple terms aspects of his/her
background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate
need.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read and write in Standard English.

and contrary opinions.Work Environment: Generally, works in an
office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job
duties outside of the typical office setting. The noise level in
the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The employee is
not exposed to any adverse environmental conditions.Physical
Activity & Requirements: While performing the responsibilities of
the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is
often required to sit and use repetitive motions of the wrists,
hands and/or fingers. This is a sedentary position, however, the
employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms
and hands, grasp, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or
crawl and lift up to 10pds . Hearing, talking and vision abilities
required by this job include perceiving the nature of sounds at
normal speaking levels with or without correction, expressing or

acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data
and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and
