This Assistant Manager Technology invests in our Purpose by leading their Team in supporting all of the operation's core network devices, including, but not limited to Headquarters, Data Centers, and third-party connections. If you are looking to exercise strong Engineering skills while Leading an arm of a Network Operations team in a fast paced, 24x7, global environment, this role is for you. We're currently organized into functional groups, and are carving out an additional group that covers all of the skills and technologies that we utilize to run against projects and project-like work that fits within Operations purview. Horizontally, you'll be supporting two peers to deliver on the 24x7 duties across the Operations group. You'll be working with a highly technical organization up and down the Leadership chain. Ideally, you're highly technical across the full network stack, wish to use those technical abilities extensively, have Led teams in some capacity before and are passionate about Leadership and looking to grow that skill - you've also worked in an environment and wish to do so again where outages have great significance for several hundred thousand customers each day, and understand the extreme ownership and urgency required to respond to those.Additional Details:

  • This role is offered as a regional workplace position and Employees must work in the region they support. This could require working from a mix of on-site Company facilities and remote based offices to perform the job function in a regional location determined by business need. Each Department will provide Employees with guidance on when and where presence is required with as much notice as reasonably possible.
  • Please note, while this is a regional position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska,Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

        • Preferred: Knowledge of Load Balancer, DNS, Route/Switch, SDWAN, WAN Optimization, Datacenter Networking, URL Filtering, and/or FirewallEducation
          • Required: High School Diploma or GED
          • Required: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent formal trainingExperience
            • Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
              • A Business and/or Information Technology environment
              • Direct or indirect Leadership experience
              • Preferred: Experience with firewall, route switch, and load balancer
              • Preferred: Advanced technical experience across the full network stack
              • Preferred: Experience resolving critical outages that impact thousands of customersLicensing/Certification
                • N/APhysical Abilities
                  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
                  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
                  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the jobOther Qualifications
                    • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
                    • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
                    • Must be at least 18 years of age

                    • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
                    • Air travel with frequent overnight stays required
