Due to growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a Director of Global Supplier Quality to join our team in Richardson, TX or any of our North Carolina locations.

JOB SUMMARY:

--

Manage all aspects of the Supplier Quality Program for the company to ensure that the needs of the Customer are known and served. Ensure that Quality Procedures and Policies for the products and services are current and applied uniformly throughout the organization. Direct the ISO 9000/TL9000/TPR and other customer specified Quality programs and promote a visible and vibrant culture of continuous improvement. Coordinate and report key product and service related metrics to ensure that defined performance levels are met or exceeded by all Suppliers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

--


  • Ensure that the requirements and needs of the customer are clearly understood and defined. Coordinate the activities of all supplier locations globally, internal and external, so that these needs are uniformly satisfied and that the source of the products or services is transparent to the customer.
  • In cooperation with the peers, ensure an effective Supplier Quality Assurance program (supplier selection, management and disqualification) is in place for the company and is understood throughout the company.
  • Direct the Company's quality program and procedures to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost to enhance efficiency via awareness and involvement globally. Oversee the approval of objectives, policies, and programs for regional Quality activities and routinely evaluate results.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and prevention both internally within the company and externally at supplier sites. Coordinate activities of Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, Procurement, etc. to ensure the effective introduction of new/improved products, processes, and materials throughout the business. Review history of product/service deficiencies, utilize product/process audits, customer feedback, and other tools to drive continuous improvement in the suppliers' operations and recommend appropriate changes to Products and/or Services.
  • Develop and maintain an effective Quality information system that communicates key Quality related information and performance. Reports should be timely, thorough, and provide sufficient analysis or recommendations that appropriate actions may be taken. Establish minimum standards of product, process, and service levels for all supplier locations. Utilize benchmarking activities for identification and deployment of "best practices".
  • Develop and manage the supplier quality annual capital and expense budgets.
  • Ensure that training and developmental needs are met.--

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    --



    • A Completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Technical field. A Graduate Degree in Business or a Technical field is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of basic and advanced Quality tools required such as; DOE, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Poke Yoke, etc.
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management System Standards.
    • Ten (10) years--or more of previous Quality Management experience, preferably within a multi-plant manufacturing environment with supplier quality management experience. A minimum of eight (8) years must be at a management level position, managing others.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with all operational and functional areas and across international & cultural boundaries.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to drive change where required.
    • Ability to manage mid-level managers at multiple locations, including sites around the world involving different cultures, languages, and customs.--
